Definitely want to see him with a run in the team. I've got a good feeling about him. I'm not sure him and shelvey will play well together though
Merino looks a cut above already like. I think Ritchie is quality, but he's had a poor start to the season.
Probably Ritchie. Merino needs to prove himself consistent. Lejuene I still have highish hopes for. Of our squad though, those that are good enough to look like they'll be handy in the Premier League seem to be: Elliott, Lejuene, Clark, Mbemba, Atsu, Ritchie, Shelvey, Merino. Most of them still have a lot to prove and we are going to have to really hope that some of our strikers and Perez can pull through for us. Overall we look very poor. Hardly surprising.
For the most ability it's Shelvey - he's got a better touch than anyone else in the squad. Most consistent/reliable quality player is Ritchie. It will be interesting to see how Lejuene and Merino get on this season though.
He's been great since he came here. We'll see how he gets on this season - I suspect he might get done for pace a bit in this league but I can't fault the lad. Fantastic professional and good on the ball too. Aston Villa were predominantly playing him at LB, right?
Yeh I think until a bit before they went down then they moved him back CB, which doesn't exactly back-up my point. I think we're playing a deeper back-line to compensate for that lack of pace and his distribution for a defender is ****ing beautiful.
