Right, we have just sold Mutch to Palarse for just under 5 Million. Harry wouldn't have sold unless he needed the money for somebody. So who? Sinclair going to Villa, Osvaldo won't come, we're now apparently not interested in Berbatov (thank god). I'd take Lennon in a hearbeat but please God let it not be Crouch.
It's all building up to Harry's infamous deadline day dealings...just worried we'll be left with the scraps. Why oh why couldn't we identify our targets and make the moves earlier in January? I know it isn't that simple, but I'm fed up of getting to midnight on deadline day and being underwhelmed.
One by one the players we have been linked with are going to other clubs. I hope Harry becomes hudini
I dunno Nutso, this all has a very depressing feel about it. You know buy a lad who has played at all under age levels for his country, developed well at Watford, had a good season in a poor Cardiff side, plays only 10 games due to injury and then gets sold for less than we paid for him. You just know that Pardew will get him playing well in an organised side and he'll help them survive, whilst we'll get another of Harolds old has beens on a 6 month contract, only here for the cash and who'll be off as soon as relegation is confirmed...... I know this is glass half empty, but I'm struggling to see anything positive about the R's at the moment, plus 2 points from the last 5 games is relegation form what ever way you look at it....... Enjoy the Saints game!!!!!!
Agree with you totally Tramore. I am very down beat at the moment. I can't get my head around selling Mutch, a good young prospect that hasn't had a fair crack at the whip with us. Maybe he is not the 'right sort'.
Problem is that Tone has said he ain't going no where, we can't even class that as the dreaded vote of confidence...... Roll on June when he finally goes......
Half empty?! You an optimist? The glass is scraped, empty and dried up mate. I feel so down by the actions we make in the transfer market. We're the laughing stock in football.
I know this was a bit left field but I quite liked DT's suggestion on another thread, Beaucejeure (spelling) from Wigan......a decent RB, current international for Chile, this would free up Isla to play in his favoured right sided midfield/wing back role, thus freeing Vargas to play in his favoured forward role beside Charlie. He wouldn't cost a lot plus he would team up with 2 international team mates to form a formidable right side and takes 2 square pegs out of round holes in our line up........simples..........therefore Harold and Co will not even see that!!!!
I agree with those calling for Gestade - he would be a handful and probably free up space for others by drawing defenders in. I expect we'll resurrect Darren Anderton instead though.
Not Crouch (hurrah) just signed an extension...not Sinclair boo) signing for Villa...a good signing for them Mvila seems to be on though
