Henry returns on loan for a short spell, and steps straight back into what he was known for...

A truly remarkable player....and one of the best to have ever graced the premier league...

But how does he compare to some of the others?

Is he the best to have played, or does that go to someone else?

    So many contenders...

Berkamp, Shearer, Giggs, to name a few...

Some on here may be biased and say our own SKP...

But who has been the best, or at least your favorite player to have graced the prem?

    Berkamp for me.

I loved watching Bergkamp play the game - so natural and so talented

I watched ronaldo live all the times he played against us at the SoL but he never really set the game alight there - I went to Utd a few times with my mate and he was a different class - absolutely unstoppable

I think the man himself Thierry would be my pick.

He was ****ing incredible, in every way. Him and Bergkamp will never be bettered IMO.

Personally, Bergkamp was the greatest player I ever saw live.

Might be bias but you would find it hard to argue against shearer or Beardsley. Technically Beardsley is probably the best I have seen with my own eyes. As a centre forward, shearer had absolutely everything in his locker.

Good shout, what a cracking player, I will credit Beardsley, he was something, and Shearer, although for all his brilliance as a striker I don´t think he lit up a park like the others.

Imo Henry was the best ever, his one and only weakness was heading but that was rarely an issue. C.Ronaldo is second for me and the best player in the world in my opinion, yes better than Messi

Bergkamp is my favourite, didn't have all the pace in the world but had the touch and the brain to be streets ahead of everyone else on the pitch. He was always my favourite player to watch until Iniesta and Xavi turned up, now I can't decide between them two but Dennis was a touch of class.

Best though, probably Giggs. Been around since it all began, won it pretty much every year since time began and he's still going strong.

I know that Beardsley and Shearer were good in their day, but to try to put them in the same bracket as Bergkamp and Henry in the footballing ability stakes, I quite frankly find laughable..
