Transfer Rumours So who do you think will leave in the Summer?

I think we need to make an assumption here...

That either Carver will be in charge of some other 'also ran'.

Based on us having a useless manager I'd say we could easily lose the following:

Certain to be sold
Sissoko (£15m)
Janmaat (£10m)
Perez (£15m)
Santon (deal may be already in place for him to stay in Italy)- (£3m)

Likely to be sold
Krul (£8m)
Cisse (£6m)

To be moved on
Jonas (expiry of contract)
Gouff (£1m)
Anita (£2m)
Chucky (expiry of loan)
Haris (£1m)


..... and still Fatty will think we have a strong enough squad.

I just hope the last one out remembers to turn the light out....

I was tempted to put Tiote in but I reckon he will stay. His stock has dropped quite a bit and Fatty likes to sell when a players stock is high.

 

I personally wish Willo and Sammy would be moved on too, along with Riviere.

I'm moving to istanbul with the family and to be honest I cant ****ing wait for 2 reasons.

1.. Cant stand having another 5 years of blancmange face Cameron as PM.

2. The further I get away from this football club the quicker I regain my sanity and joy will re-appear in ,my life again.

I honestly, hand on heart believe that Mike Ashley has seen the error of his ways and wont let anyone leave unless its best for business this summer.
Thankfully that will mean that we will retain Gouff, Sammy, Gab, the Willo God, Rivvy, as JC builds a team to fight our way out of the Championship.
Hallelujah, how lucky we are to have John at the helm.

I don't think Janmaat or Perez will necessarily go - probably leave it until January 31st. There are many, many mediocre players that should go but probably won't as we have little will to succeed on the field. You just get the feeling that a repeated lack of investment over the last few years is going to catch up with us unless there is a major overhaul of the squad and that just won't happen.

Sissoko will go no doubt. Clubs will have saw cisses goals per minute and the fact that hes always been relatively consistent, sometimes explosively, and any decent price and considering hes nearing 30 will see him go. Other useful players will likely stay unless great bids come in, then when and if we get another good season out of them they will go at a higher price. Repeat forever.

 

Sissoko and Janmaat nailed on for me with Cisse pretty much out the door too.

I think Perez is here for another season, Tiote has missed the boat on leaving and Krul will be with us for some time but get linked to better clubs every transfer window (similar to Given).

I think most of our others have no real value to other clubs - who wants to buy Colo, Williamson, Haidara, Colback, Anita, Gouff, Ameobi, Raylor, Gutierrez, etc? A few may be 'let go' (and this may effectively include Colo and Gutierrez as their wages are probably quite high.

So overall about 4-5 out with around 5 in but half of those will be for the academy (3 first teamers or low/moderate quality) and a couple of academy players will get more game-time next year. I think this is our model now, will make a little bit on the market but not masses and will cut our wage bill a chunk.
