For many years I have detested Risdale and what he ultimately caused at our great club. I thought we could never have worse at Leeds. Must admit I am now at the point of changing my mind. Risdale was a publicity seeking clown, without a clue of how to run a business or a football club. He had one plus point though, at least he tried to make us great by getting the best players and tried to get the best managers, missing out on O'Nill narrowly. But our latest lowlife has no plus points anymore. Interested only in making money and willing to invest in nothing, neither decent players or a decent manager. So for me, Bates is now my new public enemy no.1. How bout you lot

Bates has created more suffering for Leeds United, and his niyyah are well ****ing off kilter. Therefore him.

Risdale did not set out to screw the fans over, he took a gamble and failed but I do not believe at any stage did he think or believe he was going to ruin the club or harm the fans. Bates doesn't give a **** about the fans, he is screwing us over and pocketing as much as his greedy deep pockets will take. I would take Risdale back tomorrow over Bates.

Sorry guys, but this one is so simple - without Ri.. Ri... Ri... (can't say the bastard name!), there would have been no Bates at Leeds. simple as that. for everything Bates does to us, blame Ri... !!

I did think of that myself but right or wrong I was living the dream too, I loved the feeling of winning in Europe and nearly getting to the finals. At the end of the day imagine Risdale hadn't took the gamble, we might have been plodding around just like half the teams in the premier, staying up but not really going anywhere - Would we have won the FA Cup or the Championship?

At least I had a couple of years totally enjoying everything Leeds from big midweek European fixtures to being in a stadium with 39,000 fans. Yes a few years of suffering has followed but there was no guarantee we wouldn't have got relegated anyway.

Take Everton, they have remained in the top flight while we have been playing silly sods in the lower divisions but what have they done, each season their fans watch another mid table finish, is that any more exciting than what we have been though?

I'm with WhiteJock. No Ridsdale means no Bates.

From europe to yeovil was way more exciting than being a mid table prem team. Downs make the ups so much sweeter. However if bates stays too much longer my view will change

Risdale. A vulture like Bates should never had a chance to own a club like Leeds United.

Ridsdale is a cnut!! He did not need to keep buying players, e.g. Fowler etc. We had enough talent at Leeds. His decision to buy players on leases was simply diabolical and set Leeds up for serious long term debts that could not be recovered. In the end he panicked, and wasted an additional £2m on that crook Venables as well as selling players below their value or loaning them out and paying most of their wages. A complete egomaniac who thought only of himself and ruined our club. Pistol Pete wins hands down!!

When did we win the FA cup with Ridsdale at the helm?

Have to agree Billy. Ridsdale fecked the club up, but Bates is continuing it on. Maybe not financially but he clearly doesn't care about the playing side of things.

No doubt for me, Ridsdale. He may have been a Leeds United supporter etc. but it was him who screwed the club up.

We weren't a mid-table club before he started spending the money, we were already top 6 and improving, the youngsters we had were doing fine without fowler, ferdinand and the rest of the pointless signings.

Bates has just took his oppurtunity and is feeding off the Ridsdale mess up.

I suppose Ridsdale killed the club and Bates is just like the vultures feeding off what's left.

Ridsdale had talented players and im sure once that talent had moved through we could have pushed for Europe again even without the Seth Johnsons and Robbie Fowlers!

Nobody can deny the fact that Ridsdale was responsible for some of the best times at our football club and Some of the worse but Im positive Bates has only added to the misery with no positives so the answer has to be Bates!!
