he would be the one player i think could communicate better than any other and I cant believe i missed it.....
Me. He was very well spoken and you can tell he loves it here. He talked about the atmosphere in the dressing room and the comparisons from this and last season including the Bullard saga. Very diplomatic about it, i must add. Took his time to sign autographs and pose for photos. Class act.
and did he bottom the "nanas from 'ull" debate once and for all. how she ended up here etc? I still find it hard to comprehend that any contemporary player can be playing somewhere simply because "he is happy"
He said she'd lived up here (just off Newland Ave) for a long time and she was thrilled when he signed for us. He confirmed she'd been a season pass holder before he came and goes every match to see watch him. He said something about his grandad originally coming from Freetown, Sierra Leone and the historical link with the City. He said all his family were cockney reds, apart from his nan.
Yeah he siad he always wanted to emulate his father and become a professional footballer, and that he wants to come up and watch him but he has to work on a saturday night, however, he always has the City matches on a big screen in the office. He believes he's his greatest mentor. He joked about the things he says on the FL program and said he phones him constantly about it. He spoke highly of Pearson and the back room staff, Barmby, Chester, Hobbs, Mclean, Brady and how Stewart is coming on but we shouldn't rush him, nor criticise him if he doesn't hit the highs of last season. I think he loves it here and rates it as one of his best clubs he's been at and NP as one of the best managers he's played under.
Liam Rosenior is pure class, on and off the pitch. He should be a shoe in for the captaincy. One of those players I expect you want to listen, and take note of. Hull City legend in the making.
Sounds a real good guy, and good to hear that he loves it at the Tigers. NP really pulled a rabbit out the hat when he took him on.
Your right there WHT, and if I remember correctly Liam was struggling to find a regular contract, and NP took him on and gave him a chance, so turned out to be a win win situation for both parties.
Think Liam was holding out for a prem club initially even though he had quite a few offers from championship clubs
Liam said he did not want the job full stop. He and the squad have full respect for both Hobbs and Dawson. So that point is now mute.
He went to Ipswich after being released by Reading, but Ipswich for some reason did not give him a contract hence why he got a trial with the Tigers.
