in a desperate effort to make a news story locally and fill some column inches with 'olds', the media have taken some details off the official web site, of which we all knew by reading the said article anyway, and have tried to pass it off as a news story. does anyone know who has left and where they are going, as our media seem unable to research their own stuff these days. there was talk of gavan hoolhan going to carlisle for instance? who has actually not been retained? - and don't say: "all the rest"!

Devitt has another year, but I suspect it will be his last and he won't spend it with us. Atkinson should have gone last season, that extra year was bizarre. We only announce new deals, rather than players released(unless they're first team), which I find really annoying.
In an article about N Ferriby in today's HDM I read that Dean Lisles is joining them. He was with us for part of last season, but was then at Guiseley which I didn't even realise.
Gavan Holohan was not given another contract and went on trial to Edinburgh and Carlisle but has not got a club at the moment and as he lives in Ireland it is going to be difficult getting himself over here to trial with other clubs. Seems pretty down about it which is to be expected. I know it is easy for us to say they weren't up to scratch but when they obviously stood out from the crowd at a young age and got signed with a professional club it must be shattering to then be chucked out. I imagine it is very hard to take and a big knock to their pride.
as i have said publicly on a number of occasions on here, at one point i reckon he had the potential to be our next big thing. i think he has to regather his motivation and relaunch himself in the irish league or similar. he ll rip it up and probably put himself in a new shop window. i guess thats what agents are for after all. for what it is worth, i always saw him as the next tom cairney, if thats any kind of recommendation at all. i suggest we keep an eye open for keallon dillon. taking my recommendation history, he ll be back in ireland before he knows it, hahahaha
Any idea which club? I can't see Hibs or Hearts giving trials to kids who can't make it into our first team squad unless they're about to go into financial meltdown (which would suggest Hearts), and as far as I know there aren't any SFL teams in Edinburgh.
He mentions Hibs a couple of times on twitter. Basically saying it didn't work out but is agent has other options.
