Safe now. Relatively New Manager. Relatively New Owner.

It's easy to talk about targeting the playoffs...our media mogul even tried to suggest it for this year on a crest of feelgood. But then, reality bit/hit.

So, realistically, what can Acun achieve next year? Like the guy, like the positive vibes. But then, reality bites/hits.

OK, all you armchair managers/owners. What is likely to be our fate for the 22/23 season? Struggling again? Mid-table "mediocrity." Top six finish. Automatic promotion. Personally, a midtable consolidation phase, should the right players be brought in, would be a very good season.

It's impossible to say at the moment. A lot depends on recruitment. I'll start looking at the table when the summer window closes.

I'd fancy some of the current team to kick on with another year under their belts at championship level, others may well have a job on to stay in the team, but until we actually see who comes through the door it could realistically be anywhere between 16th and 5th. I don't necessarily see us romping it, but it's reasonable to expect progression based on what the owner has gone on record as saying.

Start the squad re-build, better attendance from fans, competitive in the league and not to be looking down. Imo our promotion push will come at the earliest the season after next as we realistically need 3 windows to fully re build. On top of all of that I'd love to see us putting some proper time and money Into our training facilities and make us a more attractive club for the players we want to sign.

I think in this league, unless you're a Peterborough-sized club you'd be mad not to be aiming for playoffs. You see so many unfancied sides getting up there you'd be mad to settle for less before even kicking a ball. That's not to say we should expect top 6, absolutely not. But it should definitely be the ultimate aim.

Id personally just want to have a season of no threat of relegation minimum. Finish 15th upwards and it’s progression. Ultimately I don’t think the gap would be too hard to bridge but I’d rather not risk it and have steady progress rather then blowing the potential for 3 years of steady smart investment we have the capacity for in 1 year.

Concentrate on making the MKM a fortress, good home form will bring the crowds back, no problems with our away form.

What PLT said. This is one of the hardest divisions to get promoted from, but any one of the 24 teams has a chance before a ball's kicked. Barnsley were in the play-offs last season; this season they're getting relegated. Who seriously expected Luton and Huddersfield to be in competing with Bournemouth for the second automatic spot, let alone play-offs?

What I will say, some of the promotion contenders this year have looked bang-average when we've played them. Fulham are the only ones who've looked a different class from the rest. The key is consistency. Huddersfield and Luton didn't look owt special when we played them recently but they are where they are through consistency.

Consistently getting good results. Neither Luton nor Huddersfield looked special at the MKM but they each walked away with 3 points. Neither of them lose 6 home games on the bounce. None of the top 8 have a win percentage at home lower than 50%. Our win percentage at home is 29%.

We definitely need some pace and power putting into the side. Bit of nastiness at the back and for set pieces. I cant believe it’s taken 42 games for a defender to score.

Build for it first, but when we are ready, yes I'd love to go up as Champions next time. Felt like we missed the League 1 title and certainly missed open top bus to City Hall celebrations on previous Allam promotions so when we are ready let's do it in style, the best trip.

Agree on the training grounds, both academy and first-team

Stack of prefabs vs housing estate...

Bring the pitches and facilities for all of hull to the MKM.

You know... The model that's pretty much the standard elsewhere...

    Never does, does it?

But it took us 104 years to get out of it in the right direction the first time, despite the Wagstaff's, Chillo's, Houghton's - or Edwards, Parkers, Askew's, Jobbo's', Rambo's et...

.. and we've done it 3 times in the last 15 years.

If you've been a fan only in the last couple of decades then you'll be forgiven for thinking it's easy. Chuck a bit of someone else's money at it and hey presto....

Truth is we still have to find outside money to aspire to more than what we have now...

... Though i have to accept to be clear with 4 games left, on an inherited shoestring budget is a fantastic achievement...

... Its for the new owners to screw up. They've got a blank slate.

    Over to you, Acun.
