I have been away for a couple of days with little or no food and SERIOUSLY bad food I seem to have missed out on a transfer and one or two other things. Can anyone give me the details of the Bassong transfer please, which seems to be a good signing to m, and any other Norwich things?
The Bassong signing price has been quoted at everything from 2.5 to 5.5 million. Opinion on here has largely been favourable, depending partly on exactly how much he is costing. A few reservations from some people, worrying about the possibility that his best days are behind him and that he has been involved in two relegations. Others say that he was Player of the Season at Newcastle and that Hughton knows him and will get the best out of him. There is a lot of talk that we are going to buy the Celtic forward Gary Hooper for somewhere around 8 million. Opinion on the board has been generally negative, both in terms of the fee mentioned and also the player concerned. People are worried about the quality of the Scottish Prem, and scoring there is as easy as scoring in League One. Others have also said there are other problems we need to fix first (a DM). I don't think it will be a popular purchase if it goes through. And Fox is back in training and everyone seems relieved about that.
