http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20268344 just get's worse! No manager, points deduction etc etc.You wonder what else can go wrong?I just wish they could be put out of their agony!
Apologies Godders and all! it's a BBC news story saying Chanrai has pulled out and more gloom. I can't amend. I've changed jobs this week and I seem to be resticted on what I can link.
I was about to post the same thread, perhaps our sensible Pompey posters can give their take on the situation please?
I don't pretend to know whats going on down there but if i was a pompey fan i think i would be overjoyed with this news, for me it would be the fans to take over or start over from the bottom.
Ah but the trusts bid isn't made up of fans bids any more, they want a property developer to buy the ground for them.
Strewth it is getting more and more complicated.........I see Chanrai's Portbin is really suffering from sour grapes are they not? Every ones at fault including the administrators, football league and the current preferred bidders, bar themselves!! Gee wiz and they seriosly wanted to be Pompey's owners? Oh heavens forbid...........
People always seem to misunderstand the job of the administrators...they are not acting for PFC, they are supposed to be doing their best for the debtors (which they have singularly failed to do). They are also highly skilled and cost a fortune...they naturally make sure they are paid first, otherwise it would be a risky occupation being involved with insolvent companies. I cannot see how the fans can finance a League 1 team as most of their money will be used to take the club over and pay some debts...they need to involve either a stinking rich fan (no sign yet) or developers (have to be sure who they were). Their best bet is to restart a non-league team and rely on their fanbase to get them a few promotions...remembering that most teams they play will have no money as well.
Thanks for posting the link PTF! Be very interested to hear from Lapras, Meowth or Devon what the heck happens now?
There's also talk the 1800 fans that have put money in the £1000 will only get 49% of the club. Where as the 7 bigger bidders will have the controlling stake. Basically meaning the fans have no say again.
