Woeful passing, hoofball, virtually every corner/freekick wasted, and it got worse after half time.

No response after they scored. A hectic few minutes in injury time and that was it.

No passion on the pitch and no passion from the dugout.

People came on here every week and said "Warnock doesn't have a 'Plan B' ". Well, by the looks of it, neither does MH.

Warnock/Hughes? Same difference. Shockingly bad today. The whole team were lacking in every department.

This one had to end with either a win or a loss. After going a goal behind I don't think Sparky wanted to get a draw and a replay, hence no plan B. If I'm wrong in this, then all you have to do is look at our bench today, you would have to be David Copperfield to come up with a plan B from those options.

The true test will be the next few league games. We played well enough against Wigan and, although poor today, the cup is not a priority for a club in our position. It is strange that Barton takes the set pieces when Buz is on the pitch but presumably they practice these things in training. I saw plenty of passion but a lack of ability against a stronger side which is forgiveable today if we give Villa a good game and beat Wolves.

Agree Eamon, apart from solid defense that was the worst of the season for me. I hope it was because the Cup wasn't priority and that we'll create more wth Adel and Traore back, and maybe some new players!

Calm down! thats last time this team will play together, the new signings and the boys back from African Nations we'll be off and running, i'd be more worried if I was Chelscum that was their best line up! I think there will be at least three in before Tuesday night hopefully one striker who we all know!!!!!

A depleted QPR side was robbed by the ref on a poor day. We came closer than a full strength Norwich side last week in the league. We allowed for less Chelsea chances than a full strength Norwich side in good form did. Oh and did I mention that we were depleted against Chelsea and Norwich had their full strenght side against Chelsea? Perspective lads, perspective. Please.

Of course we were shyte today. We had a poor team out with none of the new signings on show. It was a game we were never expected to win. A game which had more interest in the bleeding hand shake before the game than the actual game itself. We all keep saying that we were awful, Chelsea weren't much better themselves. They were restricted to a couple of average attempts on goal. Yeah we didn't keep the ball well, but that will take more than a couple of weeks to solve. Our main issue from Warnock was the fitness issue, that is evidently being resolved from recent weeks. The next step will be the passing side of the game. If you asked me would I rather see us play crap for the rest of the season and stay up or play lovely passing and go down, I'd take the first option. I think we all would.

Cut it all some slack, it's a one of match that meant nothing to us anyway, if it wasn't chelsea none of us would have cared in the first place and we'd be saying we should field a weaken side so we can concentrate on the league. Well at least now we can.

Come on u R's!

Spot on. Perspective needed. Adel, Traore, Faurlin, Gabbidon, Campbell, Bothroyd, 2 new signings to come (wont try and spell them yet!), HH off at half time barely fit, Buzz last minute fitness test to play. Out done by a dive that gets worse every time I see it! Agree we were poor but we have enough to come to see instant improvement. The main thing that upset me was Buz not taking the set plays and lack of pressing them. Once the win looked gone I have to admit I didn't want an equaliser as I don't think the replay would have helped our cause. Cliche time and concentrate on the league.

We played a hell of a lot better last time against Chelsea, when they had 11, 10 and 9 men. We created many chances then. We did have a slightly better team out that day and it was the PL and not a Cup run we have not room for.

We had the only legitimate chance of the game, if the ref did his job then wed have had a replay. Yes it was a dire game but we held a CL side and we had a big injury crises.

Our consolation is look at the amount that Chelsea team today cost and they were pants, lots of sideways passing but no cutting edge. Torres would struggle in the Championship...

People must understand that we were playing against a quality team full of Internationals and World Cup winners and we have Mackie and Hall? We lost 1-0 to a dodgy penalty and it was a dire game.

Sadly today proved that we don't have enough good players and that’s why we are bringing in new better ones.

I think it’s too early to compare MH to NW, at least MH plays 2 up front and has a solid back four, however i thought that we were not as committed as we could have been, (i am sure a NW team would have been in their face from the first ball but probably would have got players sent off as well as losing).

I love the way under MH we now have 2 banks of four and seem to defend better.
WE need better attacking players and a bit of luck and we will be ok.

As for ‘No plan B’, did NW ever have a ‘Plan A’ in the Prem? We look better under Hughes on and off the field.

Defensively we were good although it has to be said that AVB is a rubbish manager and wastes the talent at his disposal. With the managers the other way round, AVB at QPR and Hughes at Chelsea we would have been absolutely hammered. We should count our blessings we don't have that idiot AVB.

This! <ok>

How many times before Hughes didn't we witness opponents escaping from midfield and have a whole half on their own running at our defence? Think we're talking double figures here, and a death sin in the Premier League.
