    WELL IT'S ALL HERE!

Paul Lambert's formation switch allows Norwich to clip Swansea's wings

Saw this on the Norwich board two days ago.

Very accurate and shows that Lambert has the edge as the thinking man's manager imo.

I agree with you, Rodgers is slow thinking on his feet, but I do think that Agustien, and Joe Allen out, was a big plus factor, in Norwich's favour!.............. <ok>

Particularly Agustien who I'd have played to counter the physical side of their game. It was either McEachran or Gower to start with both Agustien and Allen unavailable. Not ideal to be fair.

Nothing wrong with with being out done now and again, its when we really throw it away or dont perform that pisses me off!
Norwich were better on the day, but the real battle was in midfield where we had a novice who doesnt like to put in serious graft, early days for the boy mceachren but if he is a top talent then joe allen must be the next superstar of football.

thats where we lost the game IMO, no bite in midfield, josh can play gylfis position but anywhere else he could be a liability, he will be the real deal in a couple of years but needs to bulk up and get his hands dirty.

Norwich had a bit of luck as well, deflected goal(taylor out of position again) switched off on the corner, but as somebody mentioned on here before could well be a blessing in disguise.

Norwich were just better on the day, no tactical master plan as such :)

McEachran could arguably be one of the best players on the team these days , I just wish we didn't have him . Nothing against him really . I heard somewhere that his loan is costing us a million . I would have spent it elsewhere or saved it . Soon as I seen his first interview & him saying " I expect to start most games , if not all " I got a bad feeling . We didn't really need another player in that abundant position , little on a guy that comes in wanting to play all the time & throws things off kilter for what's been proven in the middle already . Soon as Sig came in I was a bit miffed at seeing McEachran follow him through the door instead of a defender

If that's what he said then I hope he's in for a shock. Allen is a better player imo as is Agustien, who can certainly ride tackles and put his not inconsiderable weight about. Like I said, Rodgers had little choice on Saturday, Gower or McEachran.

Allen , Agustien & MCeachran are different , but quality players as far as I'm concerned Aussie . The difference amongst the three players is Allen & Agustien know the scoop about how Swansea play , McEachran doesn't yet . On top of that , Sig fit the team like a glove & will start most games as will Britton as a holding midfielder . That leaves Allen , Agustien & McEachran one spot basically . I just feel , although he's a class player , he was an unneccessary one to our game , especially coming in half way through the season when there is barely room for who we have ... just my opinion Dragon ... Cheers buddy !

On McEachran's performance Gower must surely start, in the absence of Allen!................<ok>

I'll go along with that Norway, just shows what a talent we have in young Joe!.................

Agree with the above... at this point in time there is no alternative to Joe in midfield, nobody stepped up to fill his boots against Norwich and his energy, vision, craft and graft were sorely missed. MacE might have tools but he lacked a real edge. Ready like Borini was, he is not.

I think Norwich were better on the day BECAUSE they had a tactical master plan and DPJ's article states what that plan was. In my opinion, of course!

IMO i think we contributed to the their Victory more than it being a tactical master stroke.

They didnt close us down when DG scored, the first goal was a lack of defensive disipline, they also had a deflected goal and we hit the post/crossbar twice if i remember correctly.

Thats sounds like real sour grapes, its not though ,they deserved the win IMO, but i think we contributed to our own downfall .

I think that the article is fair, and raises some issues regarding our game, it does fail though to understand the dynamics of our midfield, and the absence of some of our key players, I'm not one to go fixing things, when they aren't broke, but with Sigurdsson newly in the side, Josh should not have started, Gower should have, you really do not need too many new faces new at our style of play!................<cheers>

Perhaps BR has been told that Josh needs to start a certain number of games, or, he thinks he should play him because we`ve got him and it`s costing us, who knows.

Onto Norwich, we did`nt play well because Norwich would`nt let us. Lambert knows his onions and adapts his team to the opposition, unlike Brendan. They had us caught, tied, wrapped up & whipped for good measure. Their tactics were spot on, ours was`nt.

    What's a "Gaurdian"? ;)

Good article in fairness. McEachran will no doubt be a tidy player, but hopefully he'll kick on sooner rather than later. Loanees are much more fun when they burst onto the scene compared to when you have to coax them into things. Man up, Josh!

If we look at the last 4 Norwich games i would say overall they have Edge on us, but apart from the game early season they have all been games that could have gone either way .
