we have a chairman that's stated he club's not for sale and that once again that he is going to provide funds for a promotion push and presumably will be hiring a manager with that brief and that no key players will be sold. He's implied that it's play-offs as a minimum. There's no glossing over the events so far this week, but what ever's done can't now be undone. It's all going to run on in the background, but it does leave the chairman needing to wave his wallet to save face even if it turns out he's done nothing wrong. So ONWARD >>>>> What ever else it is, it's still OUR Hull City.
Allams were quite clear in their interview with the HDM: no sale of club, no sale of Key players, money available for team improvement, top six finish the goal and the club to be run on sound business practices. Whats not to like about that? Well for one the loss of a good coach as evidenced by the quality of football if not similarly by the results obtained. And that while likely may be proven to be untrue. Regardless don't think the future looks that grim.
Agreed it's still our club and the lads need our support. Even if you don't want to go to home matches there's still the away matches. If you go on train you won't give any money to the Allams. One way to get people over this incident and back onside is to bring in a half decent manager and sign some players. I'm gutted for Barmby and Pearson, but if it's a case they can't work together it'll be hard for the club to move forward.
if 1.8m was available for sharp and 30-40 k a week for a premiership level striker for 4 months.... presumably the same sort of budget i.e a 20k a week striker all season will be made available to the ,manager this summer? otherwise one might suggest its all bullshit....
All discussed on many other threads and meaningless on htis one. This is about the future from this point forward.
Isn't it? I'd suggest it is, but you seem more intent on trawling over stuff that's in many other threads. My point in this thread is that it's not all doom and gloom, but in any event we can only play with the cards (or chairmen) we've got.
sorry, ive been at work all day and havent had time to comment, ill try not to ruin any of your threads in the future
Don't worry about it just go for relevance and you'll not go too far wrong. You're not on your own lacking in facts but still deciding it has to be negative. ONWARDS. >>>>>>
How do we know its not all doom and gloom? We have only heard one side of the story by 2 men we know nothing about? Im not daft enough to believe everything they say because they happen to be wealthy. They may of saved the club but they gave us about 20% of there worth Barmby never gave us anything less than 100% all of the time.
Not if the money was available for marquee players like Reading with Roberts, but not individuals now if we're rebuilding the squad, which with the amount of signings we need we'd be doing even after a normal week. (ie the money is there, but it's got to cover more signings so no one player will be that highly paid)
One of the things Ehab mentioned with regards to Adam Pearson seemed sensible and that was that it should not be down to one person to solely manage a whole Budget Group. There should be a structure in place for that such that if one person leaves, for whatever reason, the business function continues unaffected. That being said I'm sure that's not why they got rid of Adam and I'm sure he would have been quite happy for there being a more sophisticated organisation around him.
im going to believe what the allams have said and trust them. * money is and will be available to the new manager. that is nothing but GREAT news. * none of our good players will be sold. again, really good news. * the club is not for sale, the owners are here for the long term. just what we wanted to hear. lets be positive now and give the next manager and new players our backing 100%. we could be fighting for automatic promotion next season...
Whoooosh. That's the point, we don't know, so why assume the worst? But over and above that, what ever has happened, we're where we are with what we've got. ONWARDS >>>>>>>
Good luck with your optimism and I hope you are proved right but for me This has left a nasty taste in my mouth and I simply dont believe a word they say.
As long as the Allams get the appointment of the new manager right...... we will do well next year. WHY? The Allams have stated that they want the team to move forward..... and want to strengthen the squad. Also that we won't be selling any key players. As long as they get the right man in as manager and make decent funds available as they are suggesting they will..... I think we'll have a good season and we should stop all this firing squad metality. Some of the posters on this board , really. You read like you are only 8 years old (and I am not referring to the English and grammar). Judge the Allams on what happens next season. Hold fire.
SO what are you going to do? Stop going? Go but be determined to not like it? Ride the roller coaster?
Course im still going and ill stump up the 15% increase in my pass our trusting owners have thrown in.
