We looked quite flat yesterday, tired, and have to play again on Monday? Hum... That said, Stoke play tonight at 530 and then again on Monday at 3... Wolves will be up for a fight me thinks vs Stoke, physical game coming up. So advantage to us, extra day of rest but the schedule is gruesome. We're pretty much down to bare knuckles too injury wise. Anyone think Pards might actually start Taylor on the right of a 4-4-2 instead of HBA and bring Benny on later? or give Ba a rest and bring him on later. Then again one should change a winning team. I'd be very suprised if we saw Tiote on Monday. So we're down another man. Ans Gosling being the only real available replacement.
I think, as it's at SJP, we shouldn't change anything, go out to start strongly with a full line-up (injuries permitting), hopefully grab a goal or two then start hauling people off around the hour mark depending on how they look. I don't think Gosling is as bad as some suggest he is, he's solid if not spectacular. Maybe Perchino CM if Colo's back?
4-4-3 Krul Simpson - Colo (pleeeease) - Perch* - Santon Jonas - Raylor - Cabaye HBA - Cisse - Ba *if Williamson's banned. If not W in, Perch into CM for Raylor I think we should win. But who knows?
This? Unless we're scheduled to play them both at the same time? football really does hate us doing well. Still think we'll grab at least a draw mind.
Of course I normally wouldn't want you to win but as it's Stoke your going to be playing I hope you smash em! They play the most negative football and it's so boring! Although if you wanna draw then that's fine with me
Disagree, I give huge credit to Swansea for the way they closed us down, it was quite brilliant and much more impressive than their boring long spells on the ball. I thought we looked like we were mentally focussed and energetic in keeping the shape and closing their players down. It won't be like that every game and no doubt this is what Pardew told his players to do and they did it. Two breakouts, Cabaye and Cisse absolutely lethal.
