I have to say the respect Liverpool gave our team was something to behold.
I don't recall ever watching a game against them and thinking these can't beat us.

I have been on a bender for a couple of days staying with a friend and a couple of mates, being chauffeured around in a brand new AMG Merc S class. (How the other half lives :) )
Watched the match on satellite in luxurious surroundings, beer whisky and cigars. :)

The game wasn't the best, but our organisation and determination kept the Pool at bay with ease.
Impressed with Bridge's first 90 minutes.
    O'Shea again impressed at CH.

Liverpool putting two and even three players to try to control McClean, and he still managed to get some great crosses in. (Where were you Bendtner?)
When McClean learns his trade, which he will with time, he will learn that sometimes just laying the ball off can be just as effective.
Campbell put one hell of a shift in and deserved his shot going straight in.
Bendtner apart from the tap in off Campbell's shot, was again dire an MFI wardrobe is stronger and moves more. The ball was just bouncing off him none stop. (I'm seriously doubting his age now, he plays like a 40 year old, not a young lad in his twenties.)

    MOTM young Colback, easily.
Ran his socks off and didn't let Pool settle in MF.
Couple of tired passes late on but the graft he put in no surprise there.

How times have changed, where teams like Liverpool set up to stop us playing!

Deserved win for the lads, as overall I think we played the better football.

It was one of the main things we were discussing during the match, comm mate.
Not the best football wise, but Liverpool looked afraid of us.
I feared the worst with Sess and Catts missing but the whole team played as just that, a team, for 90 minutes.
I was also impressed how quickly we got our shape back when defending.

The original super 4 are dissolving....

    New power have emerged...

    Man City, Spurs......for ex.

The dominance of Liverpool Arsenal and Chelsea is under threat...

Iv'e left Man U alone as they will always be there.

Aye ManU is a strange one.
For the first time in years they are missing good players in key positions.

depends who replaces him, Mourinho would be the perfect choice I would imagine, best manager in the world IMO

would love it if he wins the champions league with Madrid this season.

Will of won 3champions leagues with 3 different clubs and it looks like they are going to win La Liga as well so that will be 4different leagues he has won

he is worthy of the name "the special one"

Excellent result for you guys which was only surprising due to the lack of Sess. Should give you guys massive confidence and you helped us out too <ok>.

My major disappointment regarding yesterday was how flat our crowd were until the closing stages. Granted, it wasn't exactly exciting stuff to watch, but I felt the crowd could have done a hell of a lot more to lift them.

I agree that the North Stand was alright yesterday, but for me the South West and South East Corners, were the singing is normally the loudest, were relatively quite.

We certainly did...Our closing down in all areas of the pitch, but particularly in the midfield, was excellent.

Tell you what mate, it may not have been the best match, football wise.
But the team ethic and closing out of any Pool threat left me gobsmacked with admiration.
Bit more effort from Bendtner and we could have won it comfortably by a few goals.

    Couldn't agree more. <ok>
Like I have said I was also impressed at how quickly we regained our shape when we lost the ball.
