We have all heard of " letting your heart rule your head" and i almost caved in to the Pardew/Ashley new signings smokescreen and bought Season tickets again after a one year hiatus. Doubts set in after the Man City game. Yes we kept posession better but I just couldnt see where a golal was going to come from. The Villa game started to confirm my fears, a toothless forward line. Gillingham made my mind up, a pretty strong team looked average against a poor League One outfit. I know its only 3 games into the season but you can already see that City and Chelsea have the best teams and we can see that Burnley and QPR are going to struggle to stay up. As for us, "God Help Us". Looks like my head was right again, we are in for one hell of a long season....

So true, with pardew there and a board with zero ambition this stance will never change

Whilst not wanting to settle into too negative of an outlook I can see us beating the bottom teams and finishing mid-table but having little to no chance against the top teams. Mediocrity does not for a decent season make. However, on the positive side we have bought some decent signings in, look a lot steadier than we did towards the end of last season, and with it taking time for the new lads to settle who knows maybe in 6-8 games we'll see a clear improvement in intent and results.

    Bright side an all that...

If all the gifted visionaries on the forum reckon the season's going to be that bad, there's not much point watching the remaining 36 games.

Even a small improvement would make it worth while.

Is there a competition I'm not aware of? "How many new threads can be created to hammer Pardew/the board and generally complain".

We're conditioned to fear the worst. It's a sad fact after some of the deadline day exoduses we've had to take on the chin.

Well there's no need to guess anymore, for our illustrious leader has spoken...BEHOLD:

So there you have it. If MYM goes, expect Richards or Van Dijk in. If HBA/Obertan goes, we might go back for Lacazette or Remy.

Pardew is the gift that keeps on giving. It really is amazing how much bullshit can come out of one person's mouth.

Mr T makes his own muesli from the seeds of doubt he spreads on here mixed with the crushed hopes of those who read his posts.
