One of the North East's largest clubs is currently in turmoil. Results on the pitch have not been good and the fans are already raging against the manager and demanding for him to go. All may not be well in the boardroom, with media speculation that the chairman may be leaving to take up a position at another Premiership club, yet another "star" centre forward leaves the club just before the end of a transfer window, and to cap it all, one of their senior players has been arrested (again) for sexual assault and carrying a class A drug.

Meanwhile the North East's other Premiership club lies 4th in the league having remained unbeaten in the league and cup so far this season. The fans are happy with the progress that the club is making on the pitch and are really getting behind the manager. One of the most popular players has just signed an extension to his contract, keeping him at the club for another 4 years and the captain looks likely to be entering discussions to do the same. The club is going in the right direction and the manager is doing an impressive job.

Blimey, it's a funny old game!

All we need now is for them to get relegated and dance on their graves like they attempted to do on ours.

I don't want them to get relegated, I think they're being punished enough for now. Hopefully Bramble will get the book thrown at him though.

Really don't want them to be relegated as it's far more fun when we are both in the same league.

Happy enough that they are in some state of flux whilst we seem to be marching along contently.

Exactly, as long as we're doing well I'm happy...Actually no, as long as we're doing well and they're doing no better, I'm happy!

Although I don't particularly want them to be relegated, 2 relegations in succession would be funny because then I could laugh at them against the mighty Bournemouth

One difference if it was us in their predicament we'd be all over the papers with the press and pundits alike rubbing their hands with glee.

I'd be quite happy to watch Sunderland struggle all season then go on a late flourish and finish in a good position (behind us), as much as I love the suffering of Mackems, I love it even more when us backwards, uncultured north east clubs finish above the fashionable London clubs.

Much as I like to see the Mackems suffer, I would much rather have both teams in the premier league. Is not the same without the rivalry and passion of derby day. Plus the bragging rights are so much better when we can say we've finished above them and handed their ass to them during the season as well.
