We now have owners who obviously care about the fans, care about the club and seem on the face of it to be passionate about making us succsessful.
We've just bought two proven Premiership players and from the tweets just in from TF should be getting two more on Monday, maybe even a couple more before the deadline.
We are playing in probably the best league in the world, and if things go to the owners plans we could be here for a long time to come.
We (ST holders) are even getting some of our hard earned money back from the new owners because they realise we were being somewhat ripped off by the previous regime
.....and STILL people are Moaning !!!!
FFS lads (and lasses).....where would you rather be ?? It wasn't that long ago we were going to places like Grimsby and Colchester and getting thumped !!!
Lets not try to run before we can walk. A loss to Wigan is no big deal and i'm more certain than ever before in the future of the club we all obviously love with passion.
    Rant over !!

You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time!...Especially in football

Morning Staines. Two factors at play here. Firstly we live in a society that has been structured for 'instant' everything. Instant access to a shop, bank account, doctor, your mates via a mobile or even your mates in Australia for free you have the right deal etc etc.We are conditioned to expect instant everything so our approach to football is that we want instant success!

Secondly, having been starved of success and endured humiliation (Vauxhall Motors etc), we are now feasting like kids in a candy shop and we want to eat everything NOW (see point one).

Businessmen like Mittal, Amit and indeed NW understand that success is built on a methodical approach over time. That's why NW is still relaxed and smiling at the moment. Our season starts on 1.9.11 or even perhaps on 1.10.11 after the news lads have bedded in a little and a new team spirit / style of play begins to emerge.

Swansea and Norwich do not have the premier league blooded players that we will have and I think that may make the difference in the end. Having said that, well done to Norwich for scoring against Chelsea - no mean feat.

Agreed mate, and by the looks of it so far it should be just 2 teams plus Blackburn, Throw Swansea and Norwich in there and i would be pretty confident of staying up this year....job done

Very good article. Although I don't see anything wrong with questioning NW's team selections etc. This is a discussion forum after all!
BUT.........some of the posts and threads on here have been nothing short of outrageous. Good point made previously is that these days everyone wants everything instantly and that leads to impatient whinging the moment that's not attained.
I have just watched the entire game (couldn't judge much on the crap stream I watched it on yesterday) and I have to say, we were nowhere near as poor as some have said, including some that were there like WBA.
I know we can't spend the whole season saying that we were unlucky, but I feel we genuinely were yesterday. Adel's shot that hit the post was magnificent and something that we became used to seeing from him last season. He is looking better with every game imo. Perone doesn't look as bad as we all feared imo and, again was very unlucky with a strong header that struck the bar. He looks like he could get a few from set plays this term.
Considering the amount of players we had missing resulting in playing 4 centre backs in defence, I thought we played pretty well. The Wigan front 3 are lively and will trouble a lot of teams this season. On another day we could easily have won that game!
I think we all need to calm down and wait and see who else joins us on this adventure. It may well take quite a few games for the new players to gel, so patience is required.

I couldn't agree more. It really pisses me off when I read some of the crap that certain members on here are writing, but even more than that it totally bemuses me as I can't see how anyone can be unhappy with the way things are at the moment.

I in a perverse sort of way enjoyed seeing us lose yesterday, which is something I really don't like normally, because it was the last time we'd see the team playing as it currently stands. By the next game we will be seeing the new Queens Park Rangers. A new team and a new era in the clubs history and it's progressive future.

Look how far we've come in 4 years and look forward to where we'll be in 4 years. This is the most exciting time in the clubs history, as for the first time we are actually planning to capitalize on our success. We are a small club because our owners have never invested or capitalized when we have had a good team who were having success. We have never heard the word relocation from owners before and thus, we have never been able to increase our fan base and thus have never been financially viable. But now we have owners who are talking about a long term future, a new stadium and more importantly a football academy. These are all amazing things to be happening as it means for the first time we can expand and become financially stable.

So you won't find me moaning, I still have to pinch myself when I read the stories about Rangers. Friday SSN became QPRSN as every story throughout the day was about who we were buying next. Amazing.

SO the moaners do piss me off, but then I don't really see them as true supporter. I suggest we just ignore them.

RangerCol/LR - Totally agree lads, this is a forum and we all have different points of view but as you say the constantn moaning and sniping at the team sometimes does get a little bit tedious. I mean it does seem all set up for Barton to have a mare against Newcastle so how long will it take for some on here (And elsewhere) to start moaning about what a waste of money ? Not long i reckon.
And on the note of sniping at Players, i do find it pretty disrespectful at the constant caling of NW as 'Colin' and to more extent Patrick as 'Dave'. From what i have been told Patrick really doesn't like the nickname as it does have racial conetations and he does actually find it quite upsetting. Forgive me if i'm wrong and have been given wrong info but PLEASE call the guy by his real name (Or useless twat if he plays shocking :) )

We haven't even got started. Wait 'til the team is in full swing, which it hasn't been able to be so far due to one thing or another.

    Staines <applause>

There was a lot of frustration due to the lack of transfer activity several weeks back. But there's nothing but positivity about the club now. Bring on the toons!
