so, just got FM 2011...

    Playing as the toon obviously.

    couple of things:
    where the ****s the transfer funds? 2mil? A.Cole wouldnt even get out of bed for that.
    how ****ing hard is it to sell players! Xisco doesnt want to leave, yeah right.

    anyone got any top tips? (don't want a list of players though, i'll scout my own)
    also, when scouting the opposition which scout's stats come into the equation?

    p.s. Jonas as 2nd top scorer :D

    Jonas is amazing on fm11. I know it's ridiculous how realistic Mike Ashley is on the game! You are left with no other alternative here than to take over Chelsea and buy Carroll for 35m. Ashley will accept the offer without conslting you (again how ****ing realistic) and you will get 10m of the 35m to spend. (Once again how ****ing realistic!!!!)

    It is very difficult to sell players , tried offloading Guthrie , Smith , Gosling and Shola but no luck. Don't sell Xisco yet , he does quite well in his first season , flops the second one so you can sell him then. Tip : Get Kevin Gameiro as a striker. It was an expensive deal but when asking the board to sign him , they granted permission without deducting anything from my transfer funds.

    This game is amazing , warning , you will be severely addicted.

    Restart the game
    and make sure you use the updated version
    you will get about 20million to spend! <ok>

    PC, i'm playing it now (took the day off).

    No-one seems to want to loan my guys as anything other than backup, then Beardsley pops up and says i shouldnt put them out on loan (his days are numbered though)
    Trying to rid myself of: Best, Amoeba, Perch, Smith, Guthrie (maybe), got rid of Xisco (took aaages) and sold Lua Lua when he was asking for 10k a week the cheeky sod

    I loaned Diego Contento from Bayern Munich as back up left back and signed Andy King (£5m, paid via monthly installments). Loan players out and you will be able to get a fee for them, think I got £2m from Bolton for a season long loan. <ok>

    Alternatively you could do the squad update. Apparently we get £20m then.

    seriously :( i've spent all day fiddling with my tactics and sorting out my backroom staff. does the update sort out the selling players issue?

    loaning young players out is well good i do that a lot and got well into the game
    it isnt a bad game
    i like managing Gillingham

    Whenever I've put Xisco up for sale, Stoke have come in with a loan/future fee offer. I always sell Shola for £3m and Raylor for £1m. Get MIchael Ball as back up for Jose on a free, loan Rafael and Santa Cruz and buy Arce for the right wing, he costs about 600k. I did that and finished 8th with a team of:

    Harper
    Rafael - Saylor - Colo - Jose
    Arce - Barton - Tiote - Jonas
    HBA
    Santa Cruz

    Backup team:

    Krul
    Simpson - Williamson - Campbell - Ball
    Routledge - Guthrie - Smith - Lovenkrands
    Nolan
    Carroll

    I think you can save your tactics so you can use it on the new save, however wont be able to do that with backroom staff. Doubt it makes selling players any easier.
