So, after several false dawns over the years came our long awaited return to the premiership. We had "faurlingate" so we couldn't get excited about winning the Championship until the last minute. We went up under warnock dreaming of becoming a premiership force, we struggled, he was sacked and then we were all excited about the appointment of Hughes. He was given money to spend and again lots of exciting transfers and promises that "this will never happen again" had me excited for a bright future, and we all know how that ended up. So now we sit bottom with 'Arry at the helm and the prospect of big names coming in this window and i can't tear myself away from the SSN updates and i can feel excitement rising to the surface again. So guys, is this it? is this our time to finally get a little payback for all the invested emotion or is the general concensus to hold on, sit tight and don't expect too much? What do you think?
I'm excited, but at the same time I can't help worrying that buying half a new team, again, may not work!!
Difference this time round is that we are buying players in positions where they are needed! Not 12 overrated midfielders bun-fighting for a starting place.....and we have a football manager not a cast member of the muppets choosing the players.......I'd say get excited........(mind you, looks like Odemwingie is going to resurrect the turmoil!)
