aye cause Millwall v Blackburn last game hopehully Blackburn v Luton draw on Monday best result for us
If we win and Newcastle get beat, we will not only be automatically promoted, we'll win the premier league and the European Cup, because away goals count double. #billythefishlogic
If we beat Preston it's been a ****ing class season. If Preston beat us it's still been a ****ing class season. This will go down to the absolute wire with the way the fixtures have panned out. Literally last minute winners will decide who is in the play offs.
If us and Boro win we are in the playoffs, as long as West Brom don’t win by 4 more goals than we do. That’s 100% If Blackburn don’t beat Luton tomorrow, then we are also certain to finish above them if we beat Preston. Therefore is Blackburn don’t win tomorrow and then beat Millwall, then it doesn’t matter how Coventry do against Boro, we will finish above both Blackburn and Millwall
If we win and Boro win. or if we win and Millwall and Blackburn draw or if we win, Blackburn dont win on Monday, and Millwall don’t beat Blackburn on the final day
Assuming that either Blackburn or Millwall win their remaining games, then one of them will finish above us, and one below. They can't both finish above us if we beat Preston, because they have to play each other, so i't impossible for them both to win all their games. The ideal situation is that they both drop points, then the result of Boro-Coventry doesn't even matter, as long as we beat Preston. However, if one of Blackburn/Millwall finish above us then it's Coventry that we need to better. If the smoggies beat Coventry 1-0, and we beat Preston 1-0, then we will both have 69 points and a goal difference of +11, but we have a much better "goals scored" so as long as we win and the smoggies win, we'd be through to the playoffs.
It's not that complicated and I know what I'd like to happen. Preston is going to be crazy ... ... I have mates going without tickets, some going in the home sections and loads asking me for help. Whatever happens this will be a classic 'Sunderland last day' on a par with many from the past. In those days we had to rely on terrace rumours or some fella with a tranny. In those days that didn't mean his boyfriend
memories of a final day at Wrexham..we won, only to be kicked in the nuts by Stoke with a last minute goal to prevent us going up
Was there also, remember the fencing coming down behind the goal and everyone streaming out over them.
