Crewe Alex appear likely to do to MK what we failed to do. WIN!

Crewe's goal difference stands at -26 and they have lost fourteen games, five more than us. But they are three points above us and four places above us.

The moral of the story is perfectly clear. Wins and losses not draws for the rest of the season City!

PS. I know we have games in hand but that's a bonus only if we win sometimes.

Anybody thinking we are certain to stay up no matter what are fooling themselves. As you said banksy that games in hand are only worthy of note if you win them and you need to couple that with other wins such as the one we let get away last weekend.

Being Bristol City gives us nothing just by the name and we are subject to the same stupidity and poor decisions just like everyone else and now is the time we need to show our mettle but the unthinkable lies just around the corner, games in hand or not. Beware the Ides of March.

I always do, Mike, as it is my wife's birthday!

But mark my words Antony, Bristol City must be brut(us)ally determined to seize(ar) every opportunity to stick the knife up all of their opposing senators (sorry, teams) for the rest of this season and not only on 15th March.

there is no certainty with football, but for years I have held the banner high for win lose win lose that's 69 points..
and certainly teams at the bottom are showing they are better than us,
    so far 2014
    crewe bt mkd
    steve bt Swindon
    gills bt wolves
    tran drew wolves
    notts bt Bradford

take those points away from league positions now and just add 2pts for either of our draws being a win and we would be 18th, it is so tight down there

    13 Bradford ........ 26 6 ........33........36
    14 Gillingham .....27 -10 .......32.......29
    15 Crawley ........ 24 -5 .......30 .......30
    16 Notts County . 28 -7 ......27.........24
    17 Oldham ........26 -7....... 27.........27
    18 Carlisle ........ 26 -19 .......27.......27
    19 Crewe .........27 -26 .....27.........24
    20 Sheff Utd .....26 -9 .......26.........26
    21 Shrewsbury.. 27 -9 .......26.........26
    22 Tranmere .....26 -19 ......25 .......24
    23 Bristol City .. ..25 -3 .......24.......26
    24 Stevenage ...26 -20 .......22 ......19

    our next 4 games
    away to wolves ( 3rd ) Brentford ( 2nd )
    home to must wins Carlisle ( 18th ) and Coventry ( 11th ) = 30 points max as I see it

    21 games = win 11 lose 10 = 57 points is that enough?
    21 games = replicate what we have achieved so far win 3 draw 11 lose 8 = 44 points-> -> -> DIV 2

Et tu cidered. Good stats jgf2 and although they don't mean a lot they prove what a difficult position we are in. Our win/loss ratio has to improve to at least by last season's statistics if they are indicative.

Last season 51 points was the survival total and if we are to use that as our target then we need 1.3 points per game and any time we go below that figure we increase the risk of failure. Of course that doesn't take in to account what the other strugglers do in their quest.

Still a massive task ahead and as the weeks pass by without points in the bag then I fear for the worst.

We have games v Brentford, Wolves and Orient, after that all games are potential wins. Our run in could be seen as kind or 6 pointers depending on what we do before. I remain confident, but the key to staying up is how many points you get. None are given for artistic impression. Give me a load of nasty 1-0 wins from here on anyday

We will all take any wins gdknac nasty or otherwise. If the ball bounces off the referee for the winning goal then I will take it.

Now Carlisle, our next opponents have wallopped MK.

Shows how poor we are that we could not beat them.
We really are living in a dream world if we think the slide will end soon!

I think we will know in the next few weeks if City will stay up. There will be no excuses, and our fate will be obvious.

Gary Johnson must be wetting himself
