Now I keep hearing about spending all that money on rubbish players, and yet it was Damien Comolli that was sacked. Yes Kenny has come out and said he had final word on who was bought, but I can't put much trust in such a statement, since that is what bosses do, take responsibility. Personally, if Kenny was solely responsible, I think the owners would have sacked him already. So, haters, give me proof of what Kenny has done wrong. Hindsight is not permitted. To say that he was wrong to leave players on the bench for the cup, after they were god awful against Fulham, would just make you look stoopid, so that's a no-no. Other than that present proof of Kenny's failing, that mean she should lose his job next week. I mean PROOF, not some made up bollox, present evidence of what Kenny has done wrong.
look at the league table..not difficult. look at our home record look at the goals for column look at the vastly over inflated transfer fees paid.

honestly, i don't think its half as bad as made out... guys seem to forget things can't be changed mid season by buying. i think the fact is a lot of guys had good will up to January and when commolli and kenny decided not to fix anything and give the line nothing needed fixing..... well most good will went out the window with the lack of a forward being bought. (especially when newkie unearth one who does well cos guys seem to think its easy) IMO kenny also came out of the FA report very badly on suarez... it was clear comolli messed that up royally cos if the ref had have been sent on his tod until an interview and translator was made available no charge would have been laid. I do not buy a lot of the RUBBISH about negative football cos that simply is not the case, he's been let down very badly by some players but others like the old horses in agger, gerrard and new guys like bellamy or suarez have been very very positive going forward. All in all we got shut of a lot of rubbish but have a massive amount to do so if guys have decided kenny can't do i don't think much can be done to change their minds. i think the league has been a disaster of players not bothering themselves and kenny being trapped with players he can't get shut of... he tried every formation i have seen in not606, tried every player as well and still things didn't improve. the fact was every big game they try, every game at home the dont....
oh an i forgot he didn't pick a then 16 year old or now 17 year old for 90mins every week... that was unforgivable obviosuly
Comolli might have brokered the deals for the players bought, but who identified them as players he wanted for his team? Who's tactics are carried out on the pitch week in week out? Who's ultimately responsible for the often seen shambles on the pitch?
Abysmal buys, shockingly bad man management, terrible handling of delicate issues, being a self righteous prick despite the lack of results backing him up, etc etc
Mito, This is the kind of posts, we want, that see a bit of both sides, lay blame where we think it probably should. We don't need overly negative but we don't need overly protective ( seems the best word). Still can't think that Comolli was the one behind the big buys though, and if Kenny wants to now get shot of them ( these are the main culprits of underperforming) after a year then what does that say? Downing would be my only one where if we can get money back let's do it. Hendo can grow, Adam wasn' ttoo much and can be a good squad player for us, and Carroll is starting to show those glimpses.
As I said, evidence.. Liverpool brought in an unprecedented 4/5 new players into the first team, it was nigh on half of a new team. That takes time to gel, look at man City last year. Home record? Small teams parking the bus. couples with a team of players that as yet didn't really know how to play with each other. Goals for? See above. Transfer fees? Comolli? Who has been sacked for it. As I say evidence. Show me where it is written that Kenny negotiated the fees for all last years signings, because I'm sure that was all Comolli. Being the director of football and all that. So rather than buy 4/5 new players, should we have stayed with the squad, we had, with maybe one or two new signings? That slow transition would have been wiser, but we needed rapid change, and great change. I seem to recall everyone applauding Kenny for that action last year.
Agreed, Kenny should have come out and called Evra a lying short arsed French racist, and the FA are a bunch of arseholes for backing the lies of a midget frog to make them look good against Blatter. Alas, we held our tongue, and acted with dignity...bad Kenny!!!
Souness was given 3 years before his stupid deal with the S*n ended it for him,Evans was given 4 years before the board decided they wanted a manager to pick the team and tactics and take it out of the players hands. Souness and Evans each won a cup during their tenure as manager as has Kenny in his first full season back,Bob Paisley won nothing in his first season in charge,thank **** we never sacked him eh?
