...are you going to beat Watford and send us up on Friday night, or are we going to have to beat Barnsley on Saturday?
I wouldn't put my life savings on it. My advice is to go into the weekend expecting Watford to beat us.
Why couldn't Hull win the last 2, we wanted a deflated Watford B team on Friday, now, they are going to be more than up for it Pros: o We need to win both games to have any chance at one of the final playoff places Cons: o Watford need to win both games to have any chance of the automatic spot. Verdict: A result neither team needs ... a Draw
We dont need to win both Beat Watford and if Cardiff beat Bolton at home a point on the final day at Forest will get us 6th place
Knowing Leicester, Watford and looking at the recent history between the two, we'll probably beat them 6-5* *Now I've said this, please do yourself a favour and put your life savings on less than 3 goals to be scored.
That's right. Just one more home win and away draw and we're there (assuming Cardiff show their championship credentials against Bolton). As for Hull, we already did you a favour knocking Palace out of contention so by Friday, that'll be two you owe us (some of the most cynical Leicester fans would say three, for taking Pearson of your hands too!).
It will be excruciatingly painful but we HAVE to win it ... and we are likely to have to beat Florest too... Cardiff could steamroller Bolton playing wondefully expansive football ..OR ... they'll already be sunning them in the Caribbean mentally - (Bellamy closer to home - at Pontins, Barry Island) and get done accordingly ... which would be disastrous for us ... so we need to win both and hope that the Stripey Nigels get beat at the Wall and only get draw s at best in their other two games ... (although their last game is at home to Blackpool - local Derby and Blackpool very dangerous on their day - last chance for Ince and Phillips to put a favourable memory in the shop window) Brighton's games are a little problematic too - away at Leeds and at home to the brutish Wolves, who may need to win to stay up
We have the champions presentation after the match so i'm sure the lads will give 100% to get the win beforehand
You better else you will have a hell alot of explaining to do. Teams who win the league always talk about respecting everyone in the league by giving their all in their remaining games
Under normal circumstancs a betting man wouldn't put money on Watford going to Leicester and winning.. it could be a hell of a game.. I'd say 2-2 which doesn't help either..
You'd think, but these are footballers we're talking about. Obviously this is us but I remember our trophy-giving game in League One being an uninspiring draw with Scunthorpe. I remember QPR's being a home loss to Leeds a couple of years back too.
Not another 2-2 surely? We need to stop conceding an average of two a match. 1-0 to us would be nice - but would be havoc on the nerves!
I still believe you will win the playoffs. I have been saying that the entire time. Beat Watford send us up and then win the remaining games and we can have our regular banter next season.
If we dont go up and you look like you will, then banter next season will be boring. It will be too easy for us to take the piss with you losing most weeks and if we dont have Pearson, then it just wont be the same!
