To see or not to see us sitting pretty At this time, matters not an awful lot, But there it is, our fine name, Norwich City Residing happily up in top spot, So far so good, or perhaps even better Must be the verdict of Canary eyes, Which folllow every movement to the letter Hoping we bring home the ultimate prize But last night had it not been for John Ruddy Who saved our blushes at least twice, I´d say, The clear way to three points might have been muddy And we´d be saying other things today, And in all four away games, though we´ve mustered Many good points, as results they have shown, A better game start would have done and dusted Our cause, before ninety minutes were blown So I´d say perhaps we were slightly flattered As Brentford probably did deserve more, Nil - three at home does sound like they were battered But they were certainly nowhere near poor, And it took three quite exceptional scorings To break their will and heart eventually, And bring from Adams such profuse outpourings Of praise and joy with regards to all three. Well done RBF! I think we've got the great start we were all looking for and adams is proving himself game by game. Credit also to Holt and Martin for the hard work put in at Colney to make these results happen!
If you look at the issues Cardiff and Fulham seem to be facing I think we should applaud the style and confidence NA has put in our team after such a miserable term last year I'm sure we will lose a few but it's great to know the team will just keep battling for the win and not settle for anything less
Totally agree jarold, but was just making the point, that this was one, that if Ruddy hadn´t been awake, we might easily have lost or at least only drawn. We couldn´t really have complained if Brentford had been a couple up at half-time, after all. Fortunately our quality showed through in the second half and we ended up cruising it, that may not always happen against better opposition.
The Bassong incident, and the resultant banishing to the under 21's just shows that Adams has a strong character. I would be surprised if he panics in any situation. We will likely have our bad times but I am confident NA and the players can just accept the situation and move on to the next match.
Can you enlighten me on what the incident was? I know Seb is banished to the under 11 girls team but I didn't know that an incident sparked it off. I had thought it was just his lack of application and form last season and bad attitude following the managerial change.
