Redknapp is more likely to bankrupt us than save us.
Its interesting how the paper is now showing this when previously it has agreed to keep his identity secret. I know the video has come out independently but the EADT has now highlighted it to everyone.

Does it really matter that we know the identity of our owner! FFS We are the fans of this club and we should expect Evans to take his head out of his arse and actually speak to us fans once in a while. I suspect that the Cobbolds god rest them are turning in their graves at the shambles this club has turned into! I want an owner that is visible and not afraid to speak to us to address our concerns rather than hide in the shadows and get his useful idiots to run things.

if you are refering to the golf event
not according to the evening star, although not the most reliable source so I apologise if I am wrong but taken from their website

'The ninth annual tournament took place on July 6 and 7, with highlights first being shown last night and repeated again this afternoon'

If your refering to the 'its appeared in todays news' bit then yes it was indeed yesterdays news and I stand 100% corrected.

I think that Evans has completely lost all interest in Ipswich Town. His big plan of getting us promoted quickly has failed and now he won't release the funds we need to even attempt to buy quality players. Take all this crap about how we are not willing to pay £1 Million for Steve Davies. This is pretty much the going rate for a player in this division FFS! Evans said after the Wickham sale that some of the £8 Million would be used to reinvest in the players. Well that's a load of bollocks obviously! We have recruited more coaches this summer than players and none of them seem to be able to train our shower the basics of defending set pieces! Yes I am angry, Yes I feel let down, Yes I am sick to the back teeth of everything ITFC, Yes I still support the Town and its in my blood! I just find it remarkable that a few posters on here seem to think that we will sail happily along next season and are happy to settle fr the same lower table finish if we're lucky. For god sake Evans sort it out once and for all!

Rightyho tractorbhoy - The Green Un's website referred only to 'last night's coverage', as usual implying something inaccurate <ok>

I actually agree with JWM (I think) ME thought he could spend £10-15m get us up quickly and then make oodles of pounds from the riches of the premierleague. Unfortunately he gave that money to total idiots and the gamble failed. He then appointed Jewell (possibly another idiot before anyone says it) but gave him a much tighter budget to work with. The downfall is that the £15m already spent left us with little to show for it and now instead of paying twice as much for a player than what he is worth (Norris) we are trying to do everything for nothing.

Yes I agree with that part it was more the second part of JWM's post.

I could see this coming when Keane was manager I thought after Jim spending alot of money and not making progress there's noway ME is going to give the next manager anywhere near as much money. I have to say I am a little surprised how little he is willing to spend this summer, I thought it would be just the wage side of things we cracked down on. Although I don't think we will know until this Davies transfer is over whether we are just playing hard ball because we think he is going to end up here anyway or we don't actually have that much money. Or maybe it's the stance the club are taking so that clubs don't take advantage of us because they think we are skint, I'm not sure. I'm hoping we are just playing hardball in the Davies transfer.

Seriously though, I find it strange how investors think they are going to make money out of a football club, I cannot think of someone who has made money out of owning a football club. Perhaps he did initially have this in mind but I think it's more to promote his business and build contacts. I don't think he's lost interest he's just not as willing to pay the big transfers which is a shame because I actually think Jewell(you can question his tactics) would spend this pretty wisely perhaps even more so than someone like Royle, who did great with no money but I still question if he would have done well with money!!

Yes I agree that we need to show some financial restraint but why have we decided to conform to all of the Fairplay rules a full season before we have to? Surely this puts us at a distinct disadvantange as to everyone else. We need a team of quality players to stand any hope of promotion and lets face it we are so short of quality in this squad! Why limit our options now when we are crying out for some decent reinforcements? It just doesn't make sense and while Clegg is sweating over his spread sheets, the club is slowly sinking! If Evans is serious about getting us promoted then he will have to bite the bullet now and stump up the cash before the FFP Rules come into force. If we had a decent squad that was capable of promotion I could understand it but we are a million miles from that! I'm sorry boys but from what I can see we have missed the boat and the one we are on is steadily sinking!

Youth academy investment is not included in FFP which makes the Category Two choice all the more baffling.

I agree with JWM. More now than ever ME should be spending the cash before we are in a position not to due to FFP. There is no point saving your money to invest in players were we to get promoted, we need the players now to give us a good chance of achieving that in the first place.
