that game was just like swansea...didnt start going for it until the hour mark, and when we did, looked capable of winning... was realy frustrating at one point, as leeds and burnley where losing,. and forest been held, and it looked as tho a minor miracle could be on at 1 point.. time to look forward to next season now, and theres just one thing that still niggles me about pearson .. we forced a corner in the last minute, of a game we had to win and a point was of little use...and he sent a 3rd player back to mark there 2...thats his style i guess..and maybe one eye on the away record, i personally think it would have been worth chucking everything at it for the win..
You wasn't the only one, it was frustrating but at the same time its the same NP that got us where we are, i think if he brings success we will live with it, if he fails to deliver we wont
play offs where always a faint hope after saturday, i just couldnt believe it when all the results started going our way again, and it looked like we where going to lose, in some ways im glad ill be able to enjoy the game on saturday, and not care whats happening elsewhere..
Working for last two games of the season, not even joking this is a nightmare :\ Next year i will not be working any Saturdays!
Top six always a long shot. At least it looks like TWS aren't going into the promise land Today was very similar to Swansea - for an hour they controlled the game, kept possession of the ball (67% infact) and looked dangerous. But the substitutions worked and in the end we deserved our point. This Pearson style away from home has got us 17games unbeaten, so I'm not comlaining even though the home team does tend to dominate the game
I'm more bothered about the results than the football and always have been, 17 away games unbeaten is a phenomenal achievement, but I hope next season we see a bit more flair in the team so the likes of DJ can get their value for money, to be fair though the manager hasn't done bad with what he's been given and what he's brought in.
i too am more bothered about result, dont get me wrong, i arent after flair.... thats my point, yesterday a win was the only valuable result, and i dont see how leaving 3 men back at a last minute corner in anyway is helpful to attaining the required result
I take your point DJ but it's good that they are well drilled even if like you say, they take it too far, but then again we probably need a proper captain on the pitch too to do some organising so that it's not all down to the coaching staff, poor Harper doesn't fit the bill for some it seems.
