he says hes got a good relationship with swansea, fine, thanks for what you did,BUT STOP TRYING TO UNSETTLE OUR PLAYERS IN THE MEDIA in the attempt to bypass a contractual clause,ie SOD OFF FOR A YEAR!!
There is some strong feeling coming out about this topic pembs! alot of jacks think he is being bit of a c&nt by unsettling Joe indirectly, truth is its not only Joe but scott sinclair will be getting qouted before long as well. After the way he was treated by the Swans, the city and the fans when he was here its a really nice "**** you" isnt it !! what did he say in his letter "once a jack..always a jack"
"once a jack...always a jack". Perhaps,"once a jerk...always a jerk",would be more appropriate,Norway?
I had full respect for the guy, and considered him a true Jack! Not any more. Crash and burn Rogers, tosspot!
good luck to the guy, he is like any footballer, take the money, there is no loyalty anymore (or very little), pls take sinclair with you
I've been one of Rodgers' biggest supporters but even I have to say that his comments are really starting to piss me off. A true statesman of the game would have deflected journalists' comments by saying something like "Well, there are a number of criteria that have to be fulfilled before Liverpool can even look at Swansea players and until that happens there is nothing I can say about the matter". Bottom line though, if players don't want to be here then by all means go. But the clubs that take them must pay up.
The crux is for me, Brendan decided he wanted to go to pastures new. So by doing that, the worse case scenario was that he was prepared to leave players like Joe Allen behind. I'm not saying in the back of his mind that moving to Liverpool didn't include Joey being coaxed to follow him at some stage. But the fact he left, takes any right to influence Joey's future away from Swansea City, unless the club or Joe himself, see differently. To us it seems, the boy's head is being messed about whilst he's away & Brendan will know he's possibly at his most vulnerable whilst with GB, having no protection from the club, but continues to 'tout' the situation. That's bang out of order in my mind & also if nothing else, showing the utmost disregard for Joe's current manager, who just happens to be one of the finest players to grace a football pitch ever!! What respect is that?? I'm sure Huw still feels Brendan has a great relationship with our club!! "Once a Jack, always a Jack!!" To$$er..... An insult to all REAL JACKS.....
