Bates reckons the three hundred protesters are morons. Presumably he thinks the same of anyone who doesnt agree with the bible according to bates. Interesting view of fans from their clubs chairman but im not surprised. Despite the scumbag, great job last night from everyone else involved, manager and players and fans
I think his comments smacked of a wounded animal...just to strike out... Even though we disagree on allot and we have a different point of view ..... He should NOT have said that... We all love the club and its always the Club first,,,always Wake up Ken.....its our club not yours.
i think everyone should stop really, think he has done a good job as chairman, maybe not enough funds put into the team but im happy with the progression of the club albeit a little bit slower than we had hoped. He is improving our stadium as well as the surrounding area. When we are in the prem, this will be a good stadium for teams to come and visit. I think fans are just looking for excuses to hate him and they have picked up on the stadium and every little thing that hes done which is moving the club forward but they hate bates so they say it was a bad thing to do
Josh, You are entitled to your opinion and you have every right to express it on this forum, however you are wrong and if I may say, misguided by the Bates media manifesto. In the end you will see what Bates has done to the club, but until Bates dies, he will do everything he can to create a positive business structure to those who he knows believe him. As for his comments, I am happy that he appears to have taken a hit and it's angered him, so we keep going, increase the protests and start the campaign for a legal inquiry into how Ken Bates took over the running of Leeds Utd FC. Mr Bates, I and many others will NOT stop until you are gone.
What part of the stadium has he improved that has any relevance for the ordinary fan? How many will ever be in the new executive boxes? As it stands, we don't attract more than the 26,000 to Elland Road while in this division. No need to spend any more money on the ground until we get promotion. Spend the money on the squad now, it makes far more sense
if thats what makes sense to you thats fine but i just plainly disagree and if i am to be proved wrong about bates which i still dont think he is bad for the club then i'll admit it
Bates is a scumbag. FFS he shows no respect to those fans who have supported the club through the bad times and who will still be here long after Bates has milked this great club dry. Grayson is getting the flak, but he has done IMO as well as any manager could with the loanees and cheap players. Bates may have stopped the club from going under, but he's not doing anything to help get us back to the Prem. Only when he leaves will we be proved wrong or right about him, even then we mighten fully find out the true picture.
Spot on, the club is doing well despite Bates and not thanks to him at this stage. He did save the club, but we're paying the price for it now
Wake up Ken.....its our club not yours. .......... rubbish, he owns the club you are simply paying for the privalege of watching his club. he can do what he likes. if he decided to flattern the staduim and disband the club it would have nothing to do with any of you
Technically true. But your attitude is very, very stupid and offensive, since the supporters are the only constant in a football club and since without them, the professional game would hardly be worth continuing. When an owner effectively has a monopoly over a club and acts in a way that pisses off the fans, they have a right to exercize their powers to influence the club and attempt to oust the twats at the top. In that the supporters have this power, it could legitimately be claimed that the club is ours to an extent. Wrong. He's bound by Football League/FA rules. Legally, he doesn't own the stadium. It would have everything to do with the Football League's exceptional circumstances ruling which would prevent that. Your wind-up attempt is short-sighted and stupid, and I don't care if I've indulged you by giving a logical response because these are valid stupidities which need answering. Now give up the idiocy and contribute constructively in the future please.
you are all dissodent morons and sick pots! please leave poor old man alone and stop picking on him. ha ha Mr Bates, has finally gone cuckcoo! the silly old sod dropped himself in it by owning up to 'saving the club' in 2005, when he's always maintained he had no idea who the **** FSF are!
The man is not fit to be anywhere near a football club, never mind owning one. I'm sure the Football League will be looking at his comments and can take action against him (and not the club).
This is exactly the same as most football clubs, they are usually owned by one person and have a board to run the club, the owner however would have the majority shares and could in theory do what they like with the club. The former Wrexham owner was the closest to killing a club I have ever seen, purely for his own gain, but he was forced out by the fans and the local council, I would suggest any owner who tried the same, would find a similar stance.
