...and yet, six games in, and we are two places ahead of them and we sit two clear of them. Yes, yes, yes! I know it's early days, and there is still a long way to go, but it really bugs me that Arsenal get all the plaudits for "having a great start to the season" and yet we are somehow struggling with a suspect manager, who could get sacked at any time! The excuse, before today, was that we have had the easier run-in. How funny does that sound after this evening! It's all media media bollocks, I suppose, but I'm looking forward to watching MOTD, tonight!
Spot on Hiag, the most important thing is the Spurs fans back AVB.....he will know that and so long as that happens...AVB can do his job.
They did have slightly tougher fixtures on paper, in my opinion. We've suffered from more upheaval though and well into the season. I think we'll run eachother close again this year but if Everton continue like this(perhaps even Fulham) the team with North London bragging rights won't be guaranteed a finish in the top 4.
Remember the 10 point gap last season. I'm not worried about your measly 2 point gap. You'll still find a way to **** it up. Thats why we love you.
You don't get it, Kyle. Arsenal have been hyped as a rejuvenated side, resurrected by Wenger after van Persie's move to a rival. We've been condemned as a **** team with a failed manager. A flop at Chelsea, attempting to reach Redknapp's heights and never getting anywhere near. Despite these rather dubious media interpretations and a host of injuries and departures, we're ahead of you. Doesn't tally, does it? This isn't about where we'll end up, but about the journey so far and how it's been painted by a biased, bitter bunch of ****ers.
Arsenal have played City ,Liverpool and Chelsea we have played Man U and Newcastle as happy as I am its a marathon not a sprint ....... but its a marathon we will win
Let the goons get all the plaudits,it puts pressure on them. Let's go along quietly and let the results do the talking. They don't seem worse off without RVP and Utd don't seem better off with him. I posted at the beginning that I thought he'd gone to the wrong team, another big money mistake. We are in a perfect position.
PNP and hbic Credit where its due, two top answers to the dikead known as Kyle, who is thick as ****, but thats why we love him!
Why the need for a dig? This debate has been gone over and over and just because those who disagree with that assumption have kept silent doesn't mean that everyone agrees. Can't we just agree to disagree and move on? I may as well have posted after the first few games that "it wouldn't have happened if we hadn't sacked Harry".
well he is our top scorer and he has helped us at the back and the majority of us were so pleased when he signed, not to mention when Rooney got injured.
I think RVP is going to do well for United. It doesn't matter how good a player is, he has to find his place in the team, and the team has to build itself around the strengths of all its players. RVP spent (was it?) 8 years at Arsenal, playing his way into the team; it's unreasonable to expect him to turn up at United and pick up there from where he left off at Arsenal. That's simply not how it works. Look at how long it took for Drogba to settle in at the Chavs, and yet history will show that he became one of their most influential players.
I think if we finish above Arsenal we'll finish above Everton- has there ever been a full season under Wenger when a team that finished above them didn't get CL? I think Arsenal are far more of a challenge than Everton, and so do the bookies, who still have Arsenal as favourites for 4th place. We'll know a lot more after the Villa game, win that after a long trip to Greece and back - then our season will be looking good and in fact better than after the corresponding games last season.
I get what you're saying, it's largely because of the Media's love of Harry and indifference towards Boas. Given they also dislike Wenger, i'm suprised about their positive reaction to our start.
RVP missed some good opportunities yesterday and one of his goals this season was a penalty so................! I expect Arsenal to get back to winning ways very soon, they just met the Chelsea lucky juggernaut yesterday.
Hang on...why take it personally? Everyone and his dog was digging into AVB before we had kicked a ball...and it's true...that collapse contributed to his sacking....it wasn't a blatant dig...it was a matter of fact.
