Right, poll time. Pick 3 teams you think will go down. I've included the bottom 8 teams as there really isn't any realistic prospects of anyone else getting dragged into it.

My 3: Everton, Forest and Leicester. There could be a real shock this season as it's so tight and I think Leicester could be it. I think Saints may have done enough in the transfer market this month to avoid the drop. Everton are ****ed I think and I can see Forest plummeting in the 2nd half of the season.

It's honestly too close to call right now, I couldn't even call it if I wanted too, one thing for sure I know, Everton is screwed.

Unless Dyche well does Dyche things.

Hopefully Onuachu can replicate his goalscoring in the PL and even if he does it could be too late.

I think we are probably gonners sadly.

I don't accept relegation as the formality that some do until it becomes a mathmatical certainty.

Nor do I, but if asked to predict the bottom 3 come the close of play then I think we are in it.

It will be close imo and any of those teams could go down and I wouldnt be massively shocked apart from Wolves/West Ham.

I don't understand this mentality at all TBH. Pat Nevin on 5 Live made an excellent point last night in that Saints won't have to improve dramatically to stay up as there are 5 or 6 teams incapable of stringing a run of results together. He thinks, and I agree with him, it will be a low bar to stay up this season. It's very silly to say we're probably goners with half the season to go IMO.

And considering that with 18 games left we are still only 3 points behind 14th place, that scenario is nowhere near reality at the moment. We have 5 new players to bed in, and it might take a few games to start seeing an upturn, but I’m confident that even with Noclu the Clown in charge, we’ll turn this around.

Well let's all take match days off then and concentrate on the housework. Nothing is over until it actually is mathematically impossible to stay up.

What? I'm aware of that... but I was asked who i think will go down and I think that come the end of the season it will be us.

You are acting as if i said we are down, and that there is no hope, and may as well give up.

Saints, Everton, Bournemouth is my prediction, sadly.

We have to hope that the new signings hit the ground flying and NJ starts managing with his brain to have a chance. Sadly I don’t have much confidence either will happen.

I can't be arsed to look as I'm meant to be working but someone mentioned the run ins and outs isn't too bad compared to others.

We have recruited well in my opinion and we will see an upturn in results. 3 points and we are out of the bottom 3, string a few more wins and draws together and it will look a whole lot better!

I have gone for Everton, Bournemouth and Wolves in no particular order.

I normally look to goal difference around the bottom and the worst are us, Forest, Bournemouth, Wolves and Everton. I feel Forest will be ok, they are a bit ahead of the rest with points and recovery. I feel we are gonna turn the corner so that leaves the 3 teams mentioned.

Can I select saints 3 times :(. I know it’s close and a few wins would get us up the table, but that’s true for everyone near the bottom. I just haven’t seen a consistent improvement. What we need is some blind luck...play crap, but have our only shot on target go in...pigeon distract goalie...that kind of thing.

It's really weird, because the bottom eight are ridiculously close and yet I think the current bottom three are strong favourites to still be the bottom three at the end of the season.

It could, on paper, quite easily be any of the eight. Maybe even nine, if Palace have the sort of the second half to the season that we've had in the last two years. But right now, if I was to put money on it, I would be going with us, Everton and Bmouth.

I suppose part of that reasoning is that I don't yet know how good our new signings, or Bmouth's new signings, will be. I can kind of see each team above the relegation line as being capable of getting enough point to stay up - which is something I couldn't see with us and Bmouth. But maybe one, or both, of us now can too? If which case, Everton are screwed and I don't know who the other two will be!

Gone for Bournemouth, Everton and Saints, in that order..

Bournemouth are terrible and haven't picked up points in what seems like months. Reckon they will be cut adrift before too long, O'Neil sacked and people will generally agree with Scott Parkers early assessment that the squad wasn't good enough for this level.. The new Norwich?!

Everton are a basket case, surely they will become better under Dyche but seems far too late to make the change. No doubt they will return first time of asking and promptly resume being a mid table stalwart for another 4.54 billion years.

Tough 3rd choice. Lots of dull football played by similarly sized clubs.. Saints and Wolves the pick of the bunch of this year's not so easy on the eye factor. While the window was a positive for sure for Saints, and this squad would probably stay up over a whole season, Wolves have a significantly better manager and I reckon that alone will help them pick up more points than us. Though if we beat them next week then I'd probably fancy us to stay up..

Gunna be a close one and interesting run in, though not enjoyable for us as fans!
