A delegation from Sunderland travelled to South Korea earlier this week and hit the headlines across the country's print, broadcast and online media. Niall Quinn and Steve Bruce headed a team of senior executives who attended a reception at the British Embassy in Seoul, hosted by the British Ambassador, and took in the South Korea v UAE 2014 World Cup qualifier in Suwon as guests of the Korean FA, headed by President Cho Chung-Yun. Media interest was intense, with the group's visit featuring across a number of outlets including KBS - Korea's largest broadcasting station - prominent daily newspapers DongA Ilbo, the Korea Herald and Seoul Shinmoon, plus the country's biggest news agency and various sporting websites. The party, which also included International Marketing Director Mike Farnan, returned to the UK yesterday after watching the Korean national side tighten their grip on their World Cup qualifying group with a 2-0 win. Quinn said: "To be invited to South Korea and see the enthusiasm for football there was breathtaking and a real honour. "We were truly grateful to be able to visit and we look forward to strengthening the already blossoming relationships we have built
