Off Topic Snow!!

Blimey!! Lots of it here in South Oxfordshire. We don't usually get it like this. Forecast to last for several hours yet too.

What's it like for the rest of you?

 

Stopped already. Any vague enjoyment is quickly outweighed by the sheer faff of the entire country falling apart at an inch of snow so hope this is it.

 

No sign of it letting up here!
It will be a nightmare if and when it freezes.

 

Good thing I left my job in South Oxf (Headington) last week.

 

A good two inches here in the midlands and still coming down well. Sky looks full of it..... The missus and pooch are loving it....... Me not so much

 

Poor Mrs Leif.

 

Two or three inches in Eastcote. I'll be going for walk in in the woods later, missing my dog.

 

We had our first heavy snow couple of weeks back, but it didn't stay long, then a few days ago, but it's just very cold now (-5 at the moment) - beautiful crisp winters morning

 

No snow unless I want it as it’s on top of my nearby mountain
What’s it like around Luton as have to travel Wednesday for a meeting

 

Snow is one of the things that defines 'old' and 'young'.
Definitely feeling 'old' as I look out on the snow.

 

I still get childishly excited when it snows. I went to wake my son up to tell him about it, and he's 19!

 

Same in South Warwickshire, first time we’ve had it like this since the day we moved into this house, 7 years ago, and the first time our 4 and a half year old dog has experienced it. He was tenatative for about 30 seconds then started playing, a lovely sight. Forecast to keep snowing until 8 tonight, and then be very cold for the next few days, so we will have the traditional English shut down and panic.

Snap. I’m looking forward to getting the wellies on. But hearty breakfast first.

 

We have a few inches of snow at the moment in Central Bedfordshire. I am more than a little concerned as I have a meeting in Huddersfield tomorrow morning followed by a meeting Barnstaple tomorrow afternoon!!

 

Hooray! Just seen my first BMW driver unable to cope with rear wheel drive in snow! One of the joys of inclement weather.

 

I drive a bimmer. Not funny in the snow! However, unlike MOST BMW drivers, I know how to cope in inclement weather......................and I know where the indicator stalk is!!

 

About a foot of it here and still falling.

 

Brief flurries here in South Norwood but already melting away into slushy mess, always less likely to settle in London...

 

Enough here in Aylesbury to make "walking" the dog on my mobility scooter a little too exciting.

 

Bugger that means my Mrs may use my car and she is atypically London driver
