I wish I did. The buses near me aren't running so I drove through Broomhill and across the Feeder Road. Took the best part of an hour to get through, and I've had to leave my car near the dogs home (in a no parking area) because a van broke down near the junction. Today is not the day to be driving, so if you're thinking about driving to get in, don't.
Bad news is....there's very little snow in Leeds at the mo, so Saturday looks likely to happen - if you can get here
What is the leagues policy on lengthy travel to away games when the conditions are so bad across many parts of the country? Do they dictate that you must attempt your journey no matter what the weather conditions? Would the possible cancellation help or hinder our future results or would if give our new boss more time to address the issues and put the squad back in a better frame of mind?
I don't work Fridays so lucky enough not having to try and drive to Poole. Made a snowman and snowball fight but had to come in as my hands and toes are hurting! I hate that feeling!
I'm out of work at the moment.......if you know of anyone that needs a good IT Service Delivery Manager please let me know !
there will be it is going north another cancellation would not go amiss.. edited on ..heaviest snow likely be tomorrow morning according to sat and radar predictions
I'm snowed in. ****ing BMW's are **** in the snow got 10 yards up the road and then just wheel spinning. But I can work from home so just sat at home doing the same ****
ROD - I've got a 5 series touring mate. A 550i Sport with a 4.8 litre V8 and all the knobs and whistles to make it drive like a dream. Dynamic Drive, Active Steering, Adaptive Headlights, Head Up Display and oodles more............all that technology and it's absolute **** in the snow. My sister has a Yaris and I used that this morning for an hour to do what I had to do and no real problems. I left the Beemer where it was in the drive to avoid me kicking the **** out of it in frustration. Thankfully, I've packed in the day to day travelling drudgery and work from home when I need to, and enjoy myself for the rest. Fabulous car, but an absolute bloody nightmare in snow.
nowt wrong with my Ducato let out 25 psi on the front and drives like a good'un mind u in anticipation of snowy weather, and they were getting close put new tyres on the front, and my Puegot 306 tor thinks it is on normal roads!!!
My wife has one as well, we always used my Golf in this weather as the dozy cow says she will try and get to Caerphilly so i have to normally pick her up, when she was stuck. So when I choose my new one I choose this one now we are both stuck, at least she never tried getting in today. ****ing rear wheel drive bollocks And now to top it off my ****ing log in tab has decided not to ****ing work. Rang IT they said I need to be in the office to run the update. I said that's the problem I can't get there, smug git from Birmingham thought I was being lazy until I told him there's snow down here, they not had it yet. Hope it goes north soon and he gets trapped in the office
No mines left so I don't know how they heat their houses now in the Rhondda valley. Thank goodness my Nana passed on a few years ago.
Drove to and from work no problem except for Gloucester Road which was VERY slow. I just went in 2nd at 10mph along the sideroads.. People these days have absolutely no ****ing clue how to drive in snow. You see them in their cars, rear wheels spinning away going nowhere. Got fed up with the woman in front of me in her SLK trying to go up a 1 in 100 slope with her foot to the floor and the back end going everywhere, if she had hit a bit of traction, she would have concertina'd the row in front. In the end, I got out and told her to stick it in first and let the clutch out with no accelerator, she looked at me like I was some kind of magician when she pulled away and then she did the wheel spin thing again 20 yards down the road... Bizarre thing happened this morning as I was looking out of the window getting ready for work, 2 blokes stopped their car in the middle of my road (only wide enough for single file), got out and built a snowman on top of the car then got back in and drove off again...?!!!
Are we all supposed to feel sorry for you BMW and/or other posh cars drivers? No snow here just pissing down with rain so hard the dog won't even go out for a pee. I'm waiting to see how long she can hold it!
