I've noticed that with Ronnie. He seems to like losing so he can be very complimentary to the winner. I suppose when he thinks about his bank balance, he'll think so what I lost in a final again. 'Big deal, I'm still worth £10m.'
Unlike a month or two ago when he criticised all his competitors saying the were no better than pub players.
He wasn't talking about ''all his competitors'' when he made that assertion, he was talking about the standard of the supposed up and coming youngsters. In the chat afterwards he wasn't alone in that assumption. https://www.skysports.com/more-spor...mpionship-quarter-finals#:~:text=O'Sullivan: "If%20you,They%20are%20so%20bad"&text=that%20good%20really.-,Most%20of%20them%20would%20do%20well%20as,decent%20amateurs%2C%20not%20even%20amateurs.
If anyone's interested the Bingham/Selby match on now is an absolute gem. Bingham's won 5 frames in a row to lead by 3.
Wouldn't mind a pint in The Skyrack in Headingly right now ! Edit: Bloody 'Ell - how could I misspell Headingley after all those years living there.
Had a bet on Selby to win it outright. Seems to be struggling at the moment but hoping for improvement as the game goes on.
I'd never write Selby off, he's just too dogged. Just about to pickup his first frame of the evening.
I've just regained consciousness after watching that Friday evening match Selby v Bingham. What a bore that was. I expect Selby to press the turbo tomorrow afternoon.and take control v Murphy. Still trailing but I'm quietly confident I've got this one - famous last words.
Could go either way. Selby the dogged, Murphy the long-ball man. Good contest so far. Heading for 7-7 as we speak - Selby on table, 24-0 up, a few reds available.
Not edge of seat stuff tonight either is it! Mark Selby is as boring as **** but probably the most single-minded, professional player on the tour.
