Really? I wear one when I play, very comfortable.

You got a link? Its pretty pathetic if it is banned, surely its the players choice.

I refused to wear gloves when I played, no 2nd tshirt or base-layers either, just a untucked shirt and rolled down socks!

My Mam got me a snood for christmas (as a bit of a joke) and it is actually the most comfortable item of clothing I've ever worn! Like a scarf but without that ****ty woolen itch! Like your neck is being nuzzled by a set felt-breasts (imagine a spooning session with miss piggy!)

I wore mine over winter when I was out running and loved it...bit too warm for it now though!

I think the rumour was going round that it was a 'safety hazard'. Meaning that a player could grab the snood and potentially strangle the opposing player.

Eh, thats pretty pathetic. If a player really wanted to strangle the opposition he could grab his shirt or his neck.

Tiote doesn't wear a snood, as someone on here has said, it's a pouch where he stores the souls of his victims. Unfortunately Puma were pretty careless and didn't put a back pocket on the shorts.

Seriously though, they're a bit ridiculous, I mean if you're feeling the cold you aren't doing enough running (although I can understand keepers wearing them) and if you think it's some sort of fashion accessory then your mind should be on the game, not how you look. I hope they've banned those tights as well.

If a player wants to wear a snood the club should just sew it on to the shirt and say it's part of the kit...

It's good to know that while the FA is unable (read: unwilling) to do anything of note with regards to Rooney smacking whomever he likes and Cole reenacting Rambo II on the training ground, at least out international governing body is dealing with the pressing issues of modern Football: banning a fashion accessory. I'll sleep well tonight.

I'm surprised they've banned it though; Joey Barton hasn't started wearing one yet.

Jonas never grasped the concept of what a snood was meant to do.

This is a snood bye the way.

    A bloody hair net.
I had a pic of one but it's gone. Like Ena Sharples used to wear. A pouch like thing that holds a womans hair. Or yours if you are a willy woofta.

Or maybe he knows more about them than all of us.

"A snood is historically a type of European female headgear..."
