Just out of curiosity, how did Snodgrass do when played away from the right wing?

It's of my understanding that he is nothing but a right winger, and has been gash when played out of position both at Norwich and Leeds.

When he's popped up in discussions over the past season we've had posters claiming he's just as good on the left wing, in central midfield or in the hole.

Did he ever play in any of those positions for you, and did he perform suitably in them?

    It's all irrelevant isn't it?
After wasting himself at norwich he crocked himself more or less right at the off for you guys. The question will be can he comeback at any decent level at all. Sad but true.

You've a point, but I think there's less chance of it severely hampering his game than someone like Walcott who relies on being fast.

It's a nasty injury though and full recovery is never a given for something like that.

nothing but a right winger in the premiership, could play in the others in the championship though but to get the best out of him keep him a)off the booze and b) on the right wing

Right winger really, Warnock played him in the hole behind the striker but as The Don said he can get away with it in the champ and probs not the prem.

He did actually start out life as a striker I believe.

Not a big fan of him, he is slow and at times predictable, a good full back would have him in his pocket, especially in the PL.

How can you not have been a big fan of him at Leeds, the guy was phenomenal here. Worked very very well having him one side with max the other

Maybe i was spoilt by being blessed with the great Leeds side of the 70's, Snodgrass was and is nothing special.

Very true statement that. By recent standards he was special but compared to the players in our great sides, he wouldnt hold a candle to them. Far too slow for the top level

Yes, in the context of our history he was nothing at all but since our relegation from the prem he has probably been our best player imo. if not at least in the top 3.

Its not really relevant right now to this thread though
