Poor bastard. I've done my cruciate ligament twice. I also genuinely feel sorry for Hull. They acted like a proper club, paid what we asked, which was good but not unreasonable, without trying to force the price down by underhand tactics like many clubs these days. I think they got a reasonable deal from it, but now it must look like a disaster. EDIT: sorry not a cruciate, he dislocated his knee cap. Really nasty and painful, though actually less likely to cause long term damage I would guess (depending on how much soft tissue damage has been done...)
Yes totally fair comment Rob and is typical of the way that football works. I am just grateful that it didn't happen to us but there again we have had our problems with Pilks and RVW last season amongst others. It is all part of the game.
Haven't seen the challenge that nobbled him, but am I correct in thinking it was Joey Barton that made it?
The Hull thread says it looked like a "fairly innocuous tussle" between Barton and Snodgrass I wouldn't be so sure...
to be fair to Barton he wished Snodgrass well on twitter afterwards and I don't think it was anyone's fault in particular
Fair enough, though I'm pretty sure they got in a tussle at the time of the Bradders incident EDIT: Hang on - I must have completely made that up because Snodgrass wasn't with us when Barton got scrappy was he?
Well if he was still here he might not have been injured as we wouldn't have played QPR who do make a few dodgy tackles. But gutted for him, was hoping to see him do well.
