Woah, woah, woah don't excite me with headlines like that!!

Carrow Road dot net is normally pretty reliable, but with this one, given the rumours all over twitter of it having fallen through, for me it ain't over till the oversized female squawks.

I've seen one tweet saying that we've missed out on him and that's a supposed ITK source lol. Nothing is done till DM or ncfc confirm this.

Speaking for "the oldies", if we had weak hearts we'd have gone long since. You don't survive decades following the Canaries if you're not of a strong constitution! <ok>

Fair comment, I apologise and take it back- it's just posts like this set my heart to flutter, so I assumed it would yours! You're obviously not as excitable as you get older.....

The person who done the story on carrowroad.net also contradicts themselves by saying its a done deal but then goes on to say that Colin will have one final talk with him to try and convince him to stay.

just posted this on a different thread but its applicable here:

    ---

highly doubtful we are 'in talks' with jerome thomas seeing as he's currently in sweden with west brom. snodgrass deal is still on - leeds are the ones instigating where the deal stands. they were the ones who announced a bid had been made, they were the ones who announced the first bid was rejected, that the asking price wasn't met, that his head had been turned, again it was them who said there'd been another bid... i fully believe this deal will happen once leeds have confirmed replacements

Very good point. I also think the Chris Burke deal is probably a no go- it sounds like the guy has just searched around for a couple of wingers who we have been linked with/might be almost in our price range...

Leeds look close to signing a couple of players today, but one appears to be a DM so not really a replacement. We shall see. According to one of the Aston Villa sites, Snodgrass's agent (who is also Howson's among others) was spotted at Villa Park...

total nonsense about his agent. if villa bid for snodgrass, he won't just go there - we'll all know about the bid as its in leeds interests to start a bidding war. why would leeds be so open when we bid for the player yet so secretive when villa do?

Hold your horses! There's no reason to suspect it's nonsense, just as much as there's no reason to view it as bona fide truth. He could be there for any reason at all- he's not just agent to those two. Equally, we know what agents are like... he might be trying to drum up interest from a reticent Villa in the hope that he gets a larger cut. Who knows? It might even have something to do with Howson, though I very much doubt it. I guarantee that every agent around will be speaking to managers and the most important ones will see them face to face. I know one guy who is an agent, only been there a year and has a few players on his books- he still has to speak to Wenger each transfer window! These agents are busy little bees... And ultimately, I think Villa may well try and pinch Snodgrass, though Lambert doesn't sound like he's having an easy time over there what with the Vlaar situation!

It's impossible to know whether that is the truth or not, I was merely repeating what was stated on twitter based on a photo of Lambert with various agents that had been posted. Of course it could be rubbish. Equally, even if it is true, it might mean absolutely nothing at all. <ok>

Well Snoddy's currently with the squad in Tavistock preparing for the game, so it was lovely of you to loan him back to us. <laugh>

We both know that means the arse end of **** all. If he doesn't play that might be a bit suspicious, but even then means absolutely nothing.

For all the stupid rumours that have flown around today, we are still in exactly the same place we were on Saturday- we appear to be interested in him so Snodgrass might leave Leeds, he might not, he might come to Norwich, he might not.

It means he can't possibly have signed for you. So unless you've managed to sneak in a bid that no-one knows about and agreed terms with a player who is in Cornwall with a helicopter sent to fetch from our game as we speak I'd suggest the link at the top is talking bollocks.

Being at a friendly with your current squad does not stop the 2 clubs from negotiaiting a deal or the club talking to his agent, though i believe a deal is nowhere near being agreed <ok>

I also can guarentee that by the end of the week carrowroad.net will post another update saying that they got there info wrong and were miss-led by their so called source!

Clearly, but it's also clearly bollocks that it's a "done deal". Especially since this person seems to have "word from Leeds" that no-one in Leeds knows anything about!
