If someone comes in with a 5m bid, he'll be off & it will be good business all round. That said, I hope he stays.

Can't see anyone splashing that kind of money on him and I think that would tempt even Warnock to sell him.

It'll be **** business whatever we realistically get because he can't be replaced and we'd be showing we're still just a selling club.

"It's difficult when players get their heads turned, but I'd like to keep Rob at the club and that's what I'm trying to do at the moment. Unless they come up with a valuation that the club thinks is satisfactory then that's what we want to do."

Sounds like your captain wants to leave <whistle>

Meanwhile in other news http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10367~2851924,00.html <cheers>

Every club is basically a selling club. No other realistic ways of raising finances anymore particularly if outside the Premiership. I'd far prefer our setup this season actually "buying" players and giving two or three year contracts rather than past seven years of loaning leftovers from all over the place. If we get 5mil for Snoddy and reinvest in the squad it'll be good business, if Bates runs off wit it, not so good

I hear lots of people talking about 'second season syndrome', however, I don't remember seeing any actual proof about it. I know Reading had a cracking first season and then went down in the second season, but I can't think of anyone else.

I saw a stat today that surprised me - Leeds have spent 16 of the last 30 seasons outside the top league!

Which is also 16 out of the last 48, if memory serves.

Think you're right about second season syndrome though, it's not happened for a while. My opinion about the Prem though is that there's not a lot between any of the bottom 12 teams in there.

Haven't seen a figure anywhere. Remember someone on the Noriwhc board say it was around 2mil but I don't know whether he is talking out his arse or has a source

And that is helping you in what way when you are in the Championship and we are in the Premier League, and have got two of your better players and look like getting another?

They should merge with ipswich. Maybe they could be a consistant top 12 finish
