Where's he going to fit in? On the right for Elmo? Through the middle for Diame/Huddlestone/Meyler? Or in support of a striker?

Right wing, Elmo right back. Bruce will probably play him as an ineffective central player like he did until the injury, but he was an excellent right winger for Leeds and Norwich and we lack someone like him in attacking positions.

He'll play in central midfield or up front I'll bet.

Look what Brucey did with Ramirez, Ince, Ben Arfa and to some extent Brady.

Straight swap for Elmo in a couple of months when Elmo goes in the January window, great news if he's back next week but they won't rush him back like Livermore

Snodgrass back training with the first team today, fingers crossed he's raring to go around end November. From thinking midfield was a problem (potentially) when the transfer window was open and that we might lose Mo; on current form I'm comfortable with him bench warming and Jake and Meyler doing the business. Add Snodders back into the equation and suddenly losing Mo in January (if it happens) doesn't look the bad news it may have been only a couple of months ago. Only one things certain as I see it, if they all step up then we have by far the strongest midfield in the division and it'll be goodbye to Hayden who's looking increasingly surplus to requirements

I do feel sorry for Hayden, he was definitely brought in to fill the gap of Livermore, only for Jake's ban to be ended.

    He deserves to play somewhere.

If I remember right Snodgrass wasn't a regular starter for Norwich. They used him more as an impact sub off the bench to add a different creative element to the attack.
Bruce will probably do the same, bringing him on when and where he will be most effective.
He just gives us more options and gives the opposition manager more headaches.

    You remember pretty poorly.

He played 67 times for Norwich, and only 3 of those were substitute appearances.

I stand corrected. For some reason I seem to remember him coming off the bench a lot.

Even he stays injury free, it'll be a fair while until he's fit enough to be pushing for a regular starting spot, i'd imagine he'll not be fully match fit until January time, he needs a lot of time on the pitch and needs to be managed properly too, not over played like we have done before with so many other players returning from injury. When he is back, RW for me, puts some pressure on Elmo / Dave and also offers a good alternative when games are being played twice a week

If Snodders get back to what he was before his injury, then either Clucas will no longer be Bruceys first name on the team sheet or he'll take Elmo's place. Elmo would then either drop back (heaven forbid), enjoy some bench warming or be on his way come Jan

Great stuff. Fingers crossed for him.
No need to rush him back in is there.

Good to hear he got through his first full training session. He really does deserve a bit better luck now.
