Would be nice for Brown and Clayton to get a rest for these cup/weeknight clashes, mind. We desperately need another player or two in that position to provide cover/competition.

Grayson always goes full strength in the cups. At least he can't play those two now.

 

Do we need them? It's the League Cup opening round against a fourth-rate team expected to finish in the bottom half of their peasant division.

 

I think they would have probably sat the game out anyway, just hope they both come back injury free.
