Just been in a pub for a quick couple of peronis and a burger with my lass and bairn.(currently at a hotel in Cheshire for her birthday) the table next to us, the fella is about 60, his lass about 50, you’ve got to remember this is just a normal pub… they ordered a bottle of wine, waitress come overs and they say “well when are you going to pour it for us?” The lass walks off and when she returns “we managed to pour it ourselves thank you very much, we’re from London by the way” morale of this is why are people genuinely snobby? I honestly can’t ****ing stand them, what makes them so entitled? the conclusion: I couldn’t wait to get back to Newcastle.
I don’t understand snobs. I was sat in the Earl last week with some lads from our forums and I was disgusted….:
It's snobby, but they also do have a point, albeit they've expressed it in the most ****erish way possible. Ie when you get a bottle of wine from a restaurant, hotel etc, the waiter is supposed to give you a small amount first for you to try and get your approval, then pour it for you. Just dumping it on the table seems a bit off from the waitress tbh.
