Ian Wright - cannot stand the man as a football pundit. 4 nights in succession now we have had to listen to his strange version of the English language on the BBC.

 

"Monarch Rescue is Biggest since Dunkirk" on the front page of the Daily Mirror this morning.

Got to be a candidate for rubbish headline of the year, even if it is technically correct.

 

Surly the distinct difference is these other British Citizens are not being bombed or shot at by the Germans (irrespective of what Farage might say).

I got visions of tattooed up, leather skinned Brits, standing around the pool bar saying, that being stuck without a flight home is a bonus;
“Oi Pedro! Duex Beeir, poh favour, mate. Gonna be here a bit longer than expected Fam.”
“We’re in Turkey hun.”
“Sorry, Stellios, grab me a Effes!”

 

BBC breakfast were asking people if they will miss the old £1 coin. Someone complained the new ones were too shiny.
