Last October when i returned from holiday some c**t stole my mountain bike and i have been pissed off since and getting fatter.
I took my kids bike to cycle surgery to service it and ended up getting myself a new bike, a single speed Charge plug i have never had one of these but it`s awesome for London and it looks easy to maintain for some reason the picture doesn`t have breaks.
    Here is a pic...<ok>

Looks a bit dull. You need a flowery basket for the front and some of those colourful tassels you hang off each end of the handlebar and you'll be sorted <ok>

When you say single speed, do you mean there are no gears?

Not only does it have no gears if you turn the rear wheel round the peddles constantly go round .

The man in the shop tried to sell it as a good thing but i don`t get the appeal of being forced to peddle even when going downhill .

When you say, "no breaks" that can only be a good thing, but if you meant, "no brakes" that can make life difficult for things like stopping.

It must be difficult selling your wares while speeding downhill.

If you went down the Hovis hill on a fixed gear bike, your legs might break off.
