I think us footie fans don't understand boardroom politics, so what's happened this week could be part of an elaborate stand-off between two hard bastards!

Despite claiming they have pulled out of a potential buy-out, the Mittal's are continuing to pursue attempts to gain control of the club

Wouldn't it be funny now if the Mittals did end up buying the club and then turned round and said "actually we think the season tickets are about the correct price" (sorry):emoticon-0105-wink:

In any negotiation there is always an opening offer, which on most occasions will be refused. I'm sure they will now make another offer, which I'm sure again will be refused. The art of haggling is part of any buy out.

Unfortunately, despite his wealth, Mittal isn't going to be held to ransom. I'm sure it's clear that Ecclestones comments about the club being worth 100 million was aimed at Mittal, this followed his comments that the club is always for sale at the right price.

Will Mittal pay the amount that will prize Rangers away from the greedy muppets? That remains to be seen, but the longer Mittal delays the less likely it is to happen as the price will just keep going up. The only way the price will go down is if things start to go wrong and it looks like we might be relegated. Not the nicest of prospects.

The most important part of Bhatias statement is that he didn't say they are selling their shares, this means they have no intention of walking away. Let's not give up hope and continue to back Mittal all the way.

For the Eccles of the world, everything has a price, even his own mother (who, if she is still alive, wouldn't be worth much by now - no disrespect intended)

What fascinates me is how a man who admits to having not a clue about football, thinks he's going to run a successful Premiership team. Is he going to hire a host of professional advisers or retrain!
