I don't seriously think Harry would pitch him in against ManU, if Walker doesn't play then Kaboul will most likely play RB.
On the OS they said he was bought back as cover and that will most likely mean at the outside a bench place

Really doubt that. Kaboul or Livermore, I reckon. Are we sure Walker's out for the game though?

Seen him play on tele several times this year and he looks like a very good footballer. I would play him if I was you. Your current full backs are dire (walker is dire) and I think smith would do well for you. You do have some good young talent coming through to be fair <ok>

I'm more worried about who's going to partner Luka in the centre. Sandro clearly wasn't match fit when he came on against Arsenal and Jake wasn't even on the bench.

If Walker's out I reckon Kaboul will go RB though, Daws and King in the centre.

Fair comment, but don't forget that Ledley made his debut at Anfield, Steven Carr made his debut at Old Trafford and Jamie O'Hara made his debut at Arsenal. As all of those had decent debuts as I recall, then I wouldn't rule out seeing Smith starting on Sunday.

I wouldn't mind if Smith starts v Utd at RB if Walker is out. I'd like Kaboul and Dawson as CBs, and Livermore CM.

Much will depend on the fitness of various players, I guess. A fit Sandro alongside Modric in CM, with Livermore RB would be a good shout too. But how fit is Sandro?

I read on the OS that Sandro played the full 90 for Brazil last night so I assume he's match fit. It's practice he looked short of when he came on against Arsenal, he hasn't been able to string many consecutive games together this season and he was running around like a headless chicken on Sunday, popping up on both wings as well as the centre. It's not the first time he's done it though and I hope it's because Parker's taking the areas that he'd usually take up and he can go back to his normal game when Parker's not in the team.

Add to that Livermore's first start was at Old Trafford (although he came on as a late sub against Brum last season) and Dawson at Anfield.

If we get cold feet, we might wind up deploying Nelsen at right back - which could either be a masterstroke, or those last four words will be preceded by "Why did we start with..."

The thing is, what else do we do?

The most logical choice is to play Kaboul at RB with two of King, Dawson or Nelsen at CB - but Kaboul is better at centre back, plus there's question marks about King after the last match (debatable as some may be), Dawson has been iffy of late, and Nelsen is slow and has a lack of match practice. Or we could play Nelsen at RB, but as mentioned he;s slow compared to...every outfield player we have, and possible one or two of our keepers.
