Agreed, at least if we're honest about hating each other we know where the line is drawn. I hate all this sneaking about, emailing UEFA, crying to MP's. Its been going on since the Billy Boys stitch up in 2006 with Spiers being the ring leader and folk need to get real and stop being so pathetic.

If Salmond's law passes does that mean I could stroll into the Brazen Heed (god knows why I'd want to mind you!) to watch an Old Firm match and cheer a Rangers goal without getting my face utterly destroyed?

Does it fuck. I'd be glassed to within an inch of my life and I'd only have myself to blame.

We do hate each other but there is an element of respect, especially with boundaries. The above would never happen, just like passion and banter in the stands very rarely spills into violence. Drunkeness and general ned behaviour is the problem in the aftermath of big games in Scotland.

Spiers is an out of touch middle class wee turd, who is crusading this for his own personal gain. Nevin is a wee clown who thinks he's helping out by preaching for everything to be banned. Get them both to fuck.
oh the bold discredited one claimed to be proud of his working class roots.dr waiton ripped him a new one and it lovely to see smelly and nevin squirming when a few wee comments were flung in their direction.great viewing,i might even watch it again.

all those songs sung by both sides only upset the bigots on the other side.
they want to be offended so that they have a chance to complain about something, for no other reason than they hate the other side.

if someone complains about a song at a football match it's guaranteed that the person complaining is a sectarian bigot.

Are you at the WUM perchance?

Now Rangers ban herald and evening times for telling the truth !!! Rangers have always had the press in their back pocket .Time for the press to treat all clubs the same and stop this disgusting favouritism that has helped Rangers over the years

Presumably he thinks it's like when black players complain about monkey chants and having bananas thrown at them - if they weren't racists themselves, they'd just put up with it.

Obviously when black people take offense at racist chants it's only because they themselves are racist?

I hate no one or nothing. I dislike Rangers Football Club almost to the point of hatred, but this is fueled by being a Celtic man. 80% of my male friends back in Scotland are Rangers fans, we watched old firm games together and the 'Orange Bastard' 'Fenien Bastard' chants could be heard around the house. No malice or hatred was felt and it was all considered banter, regardless of the score. This in my opinion is completely acceptable, it is when you start shouting it from the roof tops for all to hear that it becomes a problem.

During the 90's, Rangers were the only Scottish team worth watching in Europe (except Celtic v SC Tirol Insbruck), which i watched almost every one of there games, hoping for a Rangers win for the good of Scottish Football (not many old firm fans can or will attest to such a thing nowadays). Its all about hating the opposition more than you love your own team.

SAD BUT TRUE...
