I dont understand the logic around this. Warnock is concerned about squad size yet he sends Poleon and Thompson out on loan. With Ross out it doesn't make sense to send Poleon out, and Thompson can play midfield and right back so I'm a little bemused. Alright we can call them back but, they can also get injured and so we get more players on the treatment table. MOT
Both are fringe players, not ready for first team yet. It may very well be a sign that we are about to sign a forward (Hall), plus Thompson won't get a look in at right back with Peltier and Byram in front of him. M.O.T
I can see why Thompson's gone out, he needs to get games and there's not much room for him this season, but I'm also a bit confused about why we've sent, in my opinon, or 3rd best striker (2nd best fit striker) out on loan.
Don't think Poleon is ready for first team action just yet. Warnock is shroud. I reckon another forward is on his way
I hope so, there's just something incredibly frightening about the prospect of having to turn to Luke Varney.
Although it would mean playing him in his proper position, you never know. Warnock had been after Varney for a long time
Maybe its because we need the required wages to sign hall....and this is a way of shuffling it about before the takeover happens
In both cases, these are short term loans at a level more akin to their current standing. Its better than the development squad. So it will benefit both them and Leeds in the future. They will both make it at Leeds. But with others returning from injury & newbies coming in, they're not guaranteed a game. Best to send them out on loan to guarantee footy & further their development.
Understand your views Boggers, BUT Blackwell to develop them, i think i have to put a question mark there mate.

Cannot make a comment LiW on if they are going to make the grade, only seen about 10/15 mins of Poloen, but he did look sharp over the first 10 yards which is important!
i am starting to have my doubts about Thompson, did think for a little while last season that he was gonna do something for himself but now its hard to see him taking his chance in the first team at all, there are some pretty average players ahead of him. Poleon looks sharp and shows potential, I have seen some of the highlights of the youth squad and his finishing always looked a little poor (despite him scoring a fair few goals) so I hope that was just a couple off games rather than struggling to put the ball in the net
