What is it with our players and management thinking we've been slow out the blocks over the last week or so. Fact is that since the start of the season (21 games ago) we have scored just 3 goals (Cardiff a, MKDon's a, Bolton h) from open play during the first half hour of any match! It's clear we have been slow starters all bl**dy season! Get it sorted Brucey, lets start a game with some passion and get amongst the opposition straight from the off! No reason for not 'taking it' to Rotherham from KO.

Surely Bruce doesn't tell the team to start so slowly & not get into the opposition ? So the players must be ignoring Bruce's tactics & intentionally doing this ?
Or is it that Bruce is incapable of instilling any passion or aggression into the players before the game kicks off ?
Surely he knows how to go into a dressing room & fire players up & get them ready for battle ?
He obviously lays into them at half time & they move up a gear & start playing as they should

Maybe it's just a Hull thing, this thread is 2 days after the game, so technically a late started thread!<laugh>

It's not slow it's pedestrian. It must be under instruction as I can't see any other reason why we play at such a lethargic coma inducing pace when we start games. It was our undoing against Derby and Leeds - fortunately Reading and Bolton weren't able to capitalise on our ****ness. We need to be at it for the full 95 - if we are we should take this league and finish top. I still haven't seen a decent team in this division - we should be taking everyone to the cleaners.
